Purpose Quest [FINISHED]

Wall Safe
As you search for a place to insert a dollar, you accidentally press a button... and the screen goes black. Pressing the button again doesn't turn the panel back on.

Frustrated, you try pressing another button. Nothing happens! You snap. This is it! Nothing works in this stupid place! This world makes no sense! What kind of panel has only blank keys anyway! You're FED UP with all this weird puzzle shit!

You start out hammering at the keys in no particular order, but it quickly escalates to slapping, then punching the control panel. Then, you begin to hack at it with your axe! After the first full-forced swing, however, the axe head snaps off, stuck in the panel.

You hear the sound of gears all around you. It sounds as if the entire building is full of machinery! Finally, you hear several distinct loud noises, as the noise wraps up: one on the east wall above you, one in the east wall at floor level, and three from somewhere the west.

*Your PATIENCE meter has recovered to INTRIGUED

This actually wasn't intended to be a puzzle... I was going to have just a button to press, inside the safe. But then I figured that looked stupid, so I made a whole control panel. I left it unmarked, because I didn't want it to look like another part of the number-combination puzzle. I figured someone would suggest pressing at least one button, and then the story would continue.

When I realized that it wasn't that obvious, I went with a puzzle: You guys had to get the patience to run out, as you were looking at the panel. Then RAAAGE would press random buttons for you!

A quick look around reveals the source of the three noises from the west:
Tall Room
The ladder has been ejected from the slot! It's leaning up against that ledge, and is about 10 feet tall.*

Start Room
The grating on the ceiling has opened! Boy, it's darker in there than you thought...

Hangar West
The scaffolding has completely collapsed! That, or the computer has a glitch. Whichever it looks most like to you.

...There's nothing up here. How disappointing.

I seriously don't remember what I had planned to be on this ledge. I think I must have moved it somewhere else, because everything else seems in order...

Surprisingly, you find one! It's a huge book, several hundred pages long. On the first page, it reads:
1) Shit's going to be EPIC.
2) Don't worry about it.
...and the rest of the pages are blank. Except, flipping through, you happen to notice something on the 333rd page: "See you there! ...Evil Laugh... --Recondite Antagonistic Force". Why the hell did he leave this here? And who writes "Evil Laugh"?

It's REALLY dark up here... and very, very tall. You try to climb up, but the walls are so smooth that you can barely feel them.

I don't see how it could be any more obvious that it's a DOOR, on the top of the wall UPSIDE DOWN, that's without a DOORKNOB. I mean, have you ever been in a house before?

Hole in Wall
The door in the hole is open! You walk right on through.


The room stretches out as far as you can see in every direction... not knowing this area, you could get lost easily. However, right in front of you is something that seems designed for your size: A metallic panel on the floor, right next to a keypad.
