Man, you guys are pretty good. I'm currently working on a soundtrack for a friends game, but it's all in low quality MIDI files. I plan to remix them and then put them on a Bandcamp account, but I'm still unsure what high end program I should use. I see FL Studio a good option, but if anyone else has recommendations for good programs I'd be more than happy to see them.

I guess I'll put up an old song for you guys to listen to.

It's for a different friends game, for a jungle level. I'd like criticism, even though it's an old song. And by old I mean early this year.

Woops, posted once here and... then joined the music team a little over a month later.

Anyway, I've been keeping my site updated. www.solatrus.com

Go listen to the musics. And if there are any down links, let me know. I'll fix them.

That frog is entrancingly happy. As is the song.

(I think maybe it could have used slightly less repetition?)

Yeah, trying to add new parts to a song and give it variance is one of the things I still struggle with. It's not easy to try and make something up that fits the song without it sounding abruptly different. And when I do, it doesn't sound good.

One of my friends is making a breakout type game and needed some music, so I threw this together real quick like. I tried it make it sound retro and carnival style at the same time.

It's intended to be looped, so it does start and end rather abruptly.

I think the forum apocalypse killed it. Apocalypses are the bane of dinosaurs and is the leading cause of death for many of them.

I write songs that have lyrics and some that don't, but since I don't actually have a band yet I'm limited to my fantastic powers of MIDImancy. Here's four instrumental pieces I've written over the past year with no particular purpose in mind.

"Fallapart", written in Fm. Violins, cellos, music box. My first experiment in instrumental stuff, written a year or so ago.

"Walled Garden", written in Fmaj. Lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass, drum kit. One of my more recent attempts and probably a decent bit better than "Fallapart".

"Gilded Mercury", written in Ebmaj. Lead piano, lead guitar, organ, bass, drum kit. I'm still really iffy on a lot of the choices I made in this one, especially near the end.

"Facilitation", written in Cmaj. Lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass, drum kit, all under a glockenspiel ostinato. I posted this in the Homestuck fan music thread but figured it might be a better fit here. It's meant to be video game music, so it's on a loop.

Oh hey, there's a thread for this! I have written way too much music to link to individually, but here is a gallery of it I guess?

I can't stop spontaneously making music. These just came around and said: "Oh hi there, we were moving around the cosmos. Maybe if you could be so kind as to notate us for mankind?" And I can't help but say "Yes," for they flirt around everyone's head and don't stop moving around until the universe ends. Or at least that's how I envision them.

Oh, and they are pronounced xa-sto-ro-’o and xal-TRE-dew .

    Version 1.0 complete!

I think this inspired by some other songs that I have heard before, but I can't be sure what.

so is this original music only? Or just music that has nothing to do with MSPA. Cause I was messing around with some 8-bit VSTs, trying to get a feel for it. Made this

So I recently found a program called PaulStretch. The thing they used to slow down Justin Beiber's U Smile song and Portal's Still Alive fairly recently. So I decided to try it on one of my songs. IF U DONT BELIF ME SPED IT UP 400x 2 SEE 4 URSELF! :U
