IDE/THEROY: FRAN = FINAL BOSS
I'm pretty sure that I mentioned this, but this adventure is still awesome.
Oh no, scary scary Fran.
Is that really Fran in there, or an ebil ebil monster-ghost?
I still think he should have shot Carrie and ditched Fran and eloped with George. I guess this was okay though, even if I didn't get what I wanted.
Yes! This is how I wanted to find out about Fran. In a dramatic gunfight in a burning mall. Hey whatever happened with Chet's dad's bioroid?
Mirror progress: 3/5 days completed.
To address some of your comments, I know some of you are happier than others, but since we were choosing between two basically diametrically opposed options, I suppose it was inevitable someone would end up disappointed! I hope you'll stick with this adventure to see where it goes anyway!
If I ever do an artventure, it'll probably be a spin-off of the Chet's dad is a mad scientist story, all very non-canon and extremely poorly drawn. It won't happen til I get a new computer, though.Originally Posted by Gustave

IDE/THEORY: Fran is just a stinking, rotting corpse. Chet has developed psychic powers when whatever happened happened, but his mind has been too unhinged, so Fran emerged as a way to control them. His powers include controlling the thoughts and actions of others, which is how he can force people to 'see' his delusions.Telamon +Originally Posted by Telamon

Adventure Mirror is a go! Whooooo.
Fun fact: excluding the non-canon stuff, part one was 40,771 words long.
Gotta write a part one summary now, then we should be able to get part two started.
Indeed I did. Actually, for quite a while it was my only plan, as I hadn't come up with the idea to have two choices yet. Eventually I came up with a different possible outcome, and, not wanting to choose, I decided to take advantage of the whole "user involvement" thing and let you guys decide.Originally Posted by GrayGriffin
I won't say exactly what would have happened, but it was a much tidier ending, and the adventure would have either ended or gone on extended hiatus, and I would be starting a new, unrelated adventure.
That's 10,000 words short of being categorized as a novel.
Great novel you have there, Telamon. The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America Nebula Awards for science fiction define the novella as having a word count between 17,500 and 40,000.

40,771 > 40,000? It's like Telamon got an 89.5 for his semester grade on writing a novel; an A is an A.Originally Posted by Dentrala
Why didn't you include them buying a new dress for Fran? ESSENTIAL PLOT DETAILS.
Also I believe there were a few sloppy makeouts and Topgun.Originally Posted by Dentrala

That first paragraph of the summary lends itself pretty well to being read with a movie trailer voice. Try it!
Carrie should become the leader of the new society and make every man woman and child have a mustache. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Important note on Part Two:
You are now James D. Turner. You are currently driving on the Ohio Turnpike to stay with your brother in Pittsburgh. Until last week, you had been living in Madison, Wisconsin, with your wife and working as an accountant. Then you lost you job and your wife kicked you out, so now you are hoping to start over. Of course, you hope your marriage isn't over, but you don't have very high hopes. You got married right out of college, at the tender age of 22, but six years later, things have gotten stale. Ever since you decided to put off having kids there had just been less and less to talk about. Some time apart certainly seemed wise in any event, but you had a huge fight after you were laid-off about wanting to go back to school, and you left last night with one suitcase and stayed at a motel.
You've just had lunch, and you're hoping to be at your brother's for dinner. You're making good time in your 2001 Chevy Malibu, and your day has, as usual, been totally corpse free.
What will you do now?
Look for some affairs to start.
Go buy shocklate powerthirst for all your family members.
