Also, if we're going to name her further, do let's try to avoid the consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel construction we see in Rose and Dave. Likewise, John's last name only has six letters, rather than the seven for RL and DS, so the acceptable naming scheme is fairly well constrained.
My suggestion:

Beth Aarden.

Single vowel, adjacent consonants in first name; for the last: six letters, three consonants, leading vowel, next one comes quickly, and short, even spacing for the last one. Compared to the other kids' names I think this is one of the best possible constructions. I would also accept Ruth, but it seems a tad old fashion, and Aarden apparently has some etymological relation to earth, so I'd stick with that.
