I personally think all this "Americans don't know shit about history" nonsense is getting a little tiresome. People in general don't know that much about history, because it's not vital to biological function like food and breathable air. A little historical ignorance isn't going to kill anyone. Political ignorance, on the other hand, is something that needs to die in a fire. If you're going to allow everyone to vote, you should at least make sure everyone knows something about government and politics. Too many people have swayed the nation for petty reasons. I think some kind of politics/government credits should be required to graduate from school!
