MSPA Cameos!

I've seen a lot of people say how the staff Adventure Time obviously loves Homestuck and puts in references. Yet, all I've seen is people talk about symbols from the Kids'/Trolls' Classes appearing or just not going into specifics. I don't watch the show often enough tor recall anything other than symbols. So, my question is: Are there other references to Homestuck in Adventure Time? If so, could someone give a few examples? 'Cause I really want to know.

Wasn't there some picture of a drawing board of theirs that had Jade drawn on it? I think that was one of the earliest MSPA cameos around, at least that I can remember.

There's also an episode where they get sucked into a video game in which all the bad guys are trying to get to the (green) sun, and Jake just sort of... reaches over and grabs a bomb out of the stats menu thingy.

A quick glance around youtube looks like the clip in question isn't up there, but the episode is called 'Guardians of Sunshine.'

OK, so he got it from happy wheels, which got it from SBaHJ, but its finally come back around on the thumbnail picture...

(note: there is no reference to SBaHJ or Homestuck in the video. There ARE stairs that he DOES get warned about though)

It's got a different number of prongs, and considering how simple it is, I'm not sure it's a deliberate reference, but as has been mentioned before, there are Homestuckers on board, so it very well could be.

That panel in PS was a pun on the famous Latin phrase "Quid Pro Quo"- this for that. The trophy is simply referencing the same phrase. No cameo here, I'm afraid.

Aside from what everyone else has said,



The character in question is a magical frog wizard that grants other's magical powers after joining it's cult. One of the powers vaguely resembles Sepulchritude, and to a lesser extent a winged-sprite. They kinda look like they're wearing god-tier hoodies in that episode too. (Although I think this aired way back before those were revealed) Oh, and they go to stop a meteor at the end of that episode. (Notice the bleak red backround shift, EoA 4 anyone?)
Although it could all be a string of coincidences.

And this is pure conjecture, but a lot of the time the landscapes and settings look kinda mspa-ish. Does anybody else see it?
Edit: Here's another weird kind of resemblance I saw comparing a forested kingdom with the denizens gate.

But besides that and what everyone else has said, yeah it's been confirmed some of the staff are mspa fans.

there is also that portal to Lumpy Space that is a frog..... Having a universe be inside a frog? hmmmmm.....

They also have Ryan North writing the Adventure Time comic, they'd prob already get enough joke-questions about if Ryan is sleeping out on his neighbor's lawn.

On a side note, there was a vid recently uploaded from a convention on the Adventure Time tumblr, sitting on the floor in the back you can see a Dave and an Equius cosplayer, i think the Dave asked one of the last couple few questions in the 30min vid.

I'm not sure, but it LOOKS quite like a cameo, except for the fact that usually cameos aren't used for repeated gags... but if it's an accidental cameo, it's hilariously spot-on.

He couldn't be an airbender because all the airbenders are dead. HE DOES where green a lot, and Jade blue. It's actually pretty eerie.... I mean, even their hair works, sorta.
