The really thin necks are bugging me. Other than that it's all go so far, keep it up.

Nothin' wrong with a thin neck, at least in my opinion. Liking this so far!

Just doesn't feel right to me, but that's just me, see if anyone else agrees with me first.

You take a look at the map.
It's a world map. Whoever owned it has highlighted certain areas in green and red. You've seen this before - some people mark a world map with places they've been. You're not sure about the color coding, though. Jeez, whoever owned this thing must've been all over the world! Brazil, Newfoundland, South Africa... and even somewhere above Moscow. An adventurous person to say the least!
There's a small indent in the wall with covered in green and red LED lights, each with an accompanying button below. You press the bottom-left button, and the red light turns to green. You press it again, and the same happens vice versa. You wonder what that big blue button in the center does, but you've half an idea.

*Upon revision of 7/28/10, this post has been removed for newer readers. It's an extremely obvious hint to the solution of a puzzle, and I personally think that editing it out is a good idea, so this way you can solve the puzzle yourself. It's not really that hard anyways.*
Press the other red buttons.
make the lights match the map

>Sruixan: Be pedantic and point out that Moscow is a fair bit further west that where the author has marked it. Also, agree with quarg.

Well, here we go. You punch in the colors and then, nervously, press the middle blue button.
...
Well, that didn't accomplish any-
...Uh, okay... it closed and now where the indent was is just the wall again. You're not entirely sure whether that's good or bad.
You might as well go check the rest of the room.
Oh, the second drawer is open. It must have been connected to the light puzzle.
oh yay
KEY has been added to Inventory.

This is probably my most craziest suggestion to date but. Combine paper with typerwriter. It'll probably do nothing but do it anyway.
