I'm trying to make a new duel type. So this will probably not work, or at least get boring really fast.
The rules simply put are:
you play as a single character.
Your turn may consist of how you deal with an enemies attack and your next attack.
You never show your attack connecting.
You Always start your turn with how an enemies attack is resolved.
(The exception is if the opponent does not make an attack)
Every action is instant, but that's not to say you can't use charging moves.
A social aspect is encouraged, but not necessary.
mediocre or higher art is preferred.
Remember this is not a normal duel. there isn't a base, and a character and summoning. It's a one vs. one fight.
Anyway, let's start:
~Oh hello. Shall we begin then?~
~Choose any weapon you like, we have many to choose from here.~
~I'll even let you take first strike~
~Oh, and don't feel restricted to what you choose now.~
~We're just getting started~[/center:2l21fd0s]
(interesting move.. if I understand it correctly (and even if I don't I'm guessing it'll be best to just roll with eachother's interpretations) you didn't actually attack me. so I could go straight to my attack, or ...dodge or something.. I'm thinking if I let you, you'd just fall back down.)
PS: thanks for one-up'n me before my first move! .. is that even possible?
"Hmph. I give you first strike, and this is all you do. very well."
Wisteria attacks with flying kick, propelled by his stave acting as if pole vaulting.
Woot spontaneous naming!
Alright. lets get this started! and by that I mean I'm going to sleep.[/spoiler]
I'm thinking that one of the similarities to a normal typical author duel is that this could take some time and that there will be only one fight per thread. But wait until TheBoyd confirms before making your own thread I guess.
