Okay, so I'm a little confused about this whole "session" business. In each session, there are Prospit, Skaia, Derse, The Veil, and the respective planets. The Trolls are in a session and so are the kids. Does that mean there are, technically, two Skaias, two Prospits, etc.? (If this is right, then that number is higher than two assuming there are more than the Trolls and kids' sessions going on)

Seems to be the case, yeah. And it also seems that the sessions normally would not intersect, but somehow the kids fuck it all up bad enough to drag the troll session into it.

I was interpreting it more along the lines of the two sessions not necessarily being linked except as part of a Big Picture. It's not just a game, something's happening because of it. And that something affects everyone in every session.

But remember that CG specifically says that the kids fuck it up and that's the reason the trolls are involved.

A question about the forums themselves this time (if thats ok).
This is the only forum I really read regularly. I like how threads are 'greyed out' if you've already read them and there are no new posts. BUT, if it can tell if new posts have been made, is there a way you can jump to the first post made AFTER you finished reading? This would save me a lot a time in the threads that get a lot of replies in a short space of time and save me having to backtrack and re-read to find where I was up to.

Indeed there is! You see the little orange thing with an arrow next to it right in front of the thread's name? If you click on that, rather than the name of the thread or the page numbers, it will take you right to the first new post you haven't read.

I'm pretty sure it already does that, or else you're not wording that very well.

Okay, awesome! This whole time stuff confuses me every time it's mentioned, so I'm glad that at least have something right. Thanks!

Oh maybe I'm not. Here's a diagram that explains what I'm trying to say:

Yay! Thanks for that! I'd always assumed it was a part of the name of the thread and did not realise it was clickable!
You know why they say you shouldn't assume!

EDIT - I got you the first time, but the diagram was nice, thanks!

It would make perfect sense for there to be only one Skaia, Prospit, etc. but the the problem is the Incipisphere would be crowded with 12 other planets. The different sessions will probably get explained better as the trolls explain why the kids fucked up so bad anyway. So as an answer, we don't know!

If Fin's future trails grow stronger as they go farther into the future, why isn't everything orange creamsicles to him?

Basically he should be overwhelmed by future trails.

Because the opposite is also true. The further into the future/past in relation to Fin and Trace that person they're following is, the more the trail fades. So they probly just fade completely after about 6 hours or something unless they really concentrate on the trail.

Trace's trails fade as they head into the past; however, I am 100% sure that Fin's trails grow stronger as they head into the future. I guess it would make sense if Fin could control whose future trails he saw, although you'd think that even one person's future trail would just be all over the place, especially if it was another Felt, as they presumably spend a lot of their time in their mansion.

Re: Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

If I remember the Felt sub-adventure correctly, the future-trails are not set in stone, and can change anytime someone makes a decision to do something. I'd assume that would explain why the trails are so sparse. They don't exist until someone decides to go somewhere. Or something.

Possibly, although this would seem to indicate that future trails only end when the person dies.

It's kind of shaky though to use the Felt adventure to figure things out in the actual canon. I suppose it's debatable, really.

Yeeeaaaaah, don't know if you know, but bringing up this topic is not so much of a good idea. There was much disagreement and unfriendliness so let's just let sleeping eldritch horrors made of pain with 15 limbs in other dimensions lie.

So, any way to answer the question without the Felt fan adventure?

The only way to settle the Fin argument seems to be a direct answer from Andrew...
Though there's always the chance he will just make something up on the spot...

Re: Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

I think I figured out what's going on here:
I'll use the intermission as example.

Droogs is walking around through the Felt Mansion. This is the Present.
Fin is also walking around. This is the Past.
Droogs future trail will be stronger when it's closer to the Present.
    I've made a picture:

This doesn't make any sense in reality, of course. From Fin's point of view, he is in the Present, and he's seeing the future. Furthermore, there isn't really any point that can be called the Present. The thing that makes Fin power work this way, is becuase there's a narrator, who tells us 'This is the present. Droogs is walking around in Felt Mansion.'
So yeah, it can not possibly work this way, yet I think it does. It's the kind of mistake one might make when designing a timepower for a character who will die several pages later anyway.

Oh man I've got like 8 "TIME!" images bookmarked you don't even know.

Yeah, that's pretty much the big flaw in the entire explanation.
It just struck me as too fitting to the situation not to post it.
No offense meant, Andrew! Have a
