That's a definite affirmative. However, I actually love the idea of a custodian being some monsterous caretaker. It further deviates Alternia from Earth and means we can get our creative juices flowing with some awesome looking, otherworldly creatures.

So maybe Gúlúk could have like, its own miniature mother grub or something? And TH is a generation removed? Still doesn't answer how HD has 'parents' from another planet, though.
