It did not crash. It was landed safely by the crew on October 12, 2258, after the entanglement communication system failed and contact with Earth was permanently lost. With no way to coordinate galactic positioning, the only option was to locate a terrestrial world to settle.

I do not know. When the captain's death occured, the crew had already been living outside for 73 days. My monitoring systems only permit viewing of the internet structures of the ship. However, there are records of discontent among the crew with the captain's decisions. Perhaps he wore on someone's last nerve, but that is only speculation. Shortly afterwards, the crew stopped entering the ship. Presumably it was the captain's death that triggered the crew's separation.

Those show locations of hatches that lead to higher decks. Main-level decks lead to topside structures.

You tell Donovan that you want some explosives to blow up some walls to get into the mess.

With all due respect captain, that is inadvisable. The Nordica has sustained major damage to its superstructure over the millenia due to a lack of maintenance. The shock of an explosion could result in her collapse, followed eventually by your death. Additionally, the mess is filled to the roof with soil. However, if you wish to access the food stores, the kitchen is still intact, and there may be enough room for you to bypass the wreckage within the mess to access it. To do so, you must go through the main deck port hallway. I have lit up directional floor lights to guide you.

Dark matter canisters and spare parts are both stored in the engine room. However, an unknown species has taken up residence inside. Confrontation will have unknowable results.
