you decide to place your power in hat manipulation and element manipulation. you can now access lesser hat skills and cast FIRE. placing the wizard hat on your head, you gain ENERGY BALL. oh yeah. time to kick some ass.

you barge into the mayor's hall, where only his secretary sits. she says it'll be a few hours. you know better then that.

you think to yourself: wouldn't this be alot easier if you had fire powers? oh right, you totally have fire powers. you laugh as you shoot a blast of fire onto the secretary, burning her to a crisp. now usually you wouldn't take such pleasure in killing someone, but it seems the hats affect your personality as well as your powers. you gain a little XP.

you enter the mayor's office. he doesn't ask why you are late, but asks you to take a seat. you ask him why you were called here. he says he knows what happened to your race. you gasp, and ask for an explanation. he says a long time ago, your race was a great and mighty race, called the omniclopians. they noticed a man almost dead along a road one day, and kindly nursed him back to health. the man gained their trust, and eventually, learned their secrets. with this however, he betrayed everyone, calling a portal of fire to unleash horrors from another dimension to annihilate your entire race. however, 5 omniclopians survived, and created the ORB OF UNITY, which sealed the army away and ripped the powers from the man.

however, with so much evil in it, the orb fractured, splitting into the 5 original spirits that created it. the ORB OF POWER. the ORB OF AGILITY. the ORB OF WISDOM. the ORB OF LIFE. and the ORB OF MAGIC. these were spread across the globe, and as such, were never to be found again, left that man regain his power. he says you must find them before that man does, otherwise the world is doomed. he will give you what help he can, but you will need a party of adventurers to do this.

you subtly realize that shit just got real.

you ask the mayor for places to look. he suggests the local inn, the local guilds, or just along the road during your quest.

he also notices you don't have a cloak to lurk in. he gives you a CLOAK OF STEALTH.

that's some good thinking there. you equip the cloak, putting away the magic hat. you no longer feel powerful, but dark and mysterious. you lose ENERGY BALL and gain BLEND.

you enter the inn. in front of you is a bartender, wearing a red do-rag. he guards the liquor cabinet. to the west lies the tables, where many groups of people sit. to the east are the stairs to the rooms and the toilets.

also, i intend to make some gifs for this. know any good gif editors/makers? (paint's good for drawing, but it can't animate things.)

you ask the bartender what's been going on. he says there's been some.. abnormal activity in the town to the west, BURGENSHIRE. you ask him if he knows any adventurers looking for a quest. he refers you to 3 candidates. you may only have 4 people total, so if you take all 3, you may not be able to get better people later. you think. you could, but the others would have to stay in the ADVENTURER'S GLOBE, a device that stores party members. those arn't very common though.

You may choose OUTLAW, a RANGED GUNSLINGER, KODIAK, A POWERFUL CYBORG, or OM, A WISE MAGICAL BOOK.

it's good, except for the having to pay after 15 days. it's also a little bit complicated.

you decide to add OM and OUTLAW to your party. KODIAK will wait in the ADVENTURER'S GLOBE. outlaw also points out that it's a BANDANNA and not some panties.

OM suggests heading out to go get some armor and weapons. thanks to the mayor, you may get 3 pieces of armor and up to 2 weapons.

Hmm... a protective cover for Om, a nice poncho for the Outlaw, and for us... Hmm. A sword and some protective footwear would be be nice. Dunno what to do with the other weapon, though. Stronger firearms for the Outlaw or... whatever it is that Om uses? Better ink for his pages or something? *shrug*

you purchase a BROWN PONCHO and SPARKPOWDER for outlaw, a GENERIC SWORD and BLACK LEG WRAPPINGS for yourself, and a PROTECTIVE COVER and POINTY BOOKMARK for om.

your group levels up! you may select 2 skill trees to level up for each character. you should also decide where to start your search first.
