Can... can you... do that?
Maybe. There is special code to put an image in one member's name:

(Yep, that is thread 1, and post 1. How that post count has resisted consistency checkers I don't know.)

Umm, guys?
Sorry to be intrusive but... what is the required postcount before you can post new threads?
I was gonna post this as a separate thread, but I can't because I... don't have the required postcount to post new threads. Catch-22 anyone?
If I got anything wrong, I apologize. If I've breached some unwritten rule, I apologize. If I apologize too much... no, wait.
http://www.mspaforums.com/showthread.php?36597-WIGGLERS!
but basically; 12 posts. Except in The Cradle - this is where new fan adventures go, and anybody can make a thread there. This is mostly so we can catch spambots before they flood the forum with new threads, but it also helps new users get a handle on the forums and find their way around before starting a possibly redundant thread.
Cheers. That helped.
Is it possible to link to a post without knowing what thread it is in? If I wanted to see what post was assigned number #5555555 (or any arbitrary number), is there a way to do that buy just altering the URL?
The URLs are quite resilient, exempli gratia: http://www.mspaforums.com/showthread.php?p=4444444#post4444444.
Random bonus tip: one can edit the cookie set by the multi-quote feature to let one multi-quote posts from threads that are locked. No more wondering what piece of BBCode magic produced a particular ancient post.

There's also a BBcode tag that works in a similar fashion, though it's really only useful if you're worried about the character limit.
No, but they will be getting better soon.
No longer official staff around here.
Any opinions I state are mine alone and more than likely do not represent current thinking or decisions of the staff.
There was a period where it was really a close call, and the forums just kept going 'Where's Paul? Where's Paul?' as it slipped in and out of consciousness, possibly for the last time.
But then it got over you.
Eh.
Might I comment wondering why I can't view who is all on the forum at any given time? Typically on VBulletin or Zeta the bottom of the forum holds a list of currently online users, and clicking the number of users takes you to a page that shows specifically where each member is.
Without it I'm usually stumbling around wondering if the people I think will be on are on or not, and if they are on, I'm not sure where they are. It's quite frustrating.
