All three of those cards pale in comparison to Tarmogoyf, which is a bigass beatstick for TWO MANA (the lowest of the four cards being discussed) with no casting restrictions (unlike Superion or Ruinator). It's the murderbeast of choice for blue/green or Bant-colored decks. Last I checked it was sitting pretty at eighty dollars a go, with foils ranging upwards of two hundred.

as for the cost, that's a perfect reason to reprint it! It's almost a necessary card for modern, and the theme fits here, so this is a great opportunity for them to increase accessibility to older formats. As for the power level, a lot of what makes tarmogoyf powerful is its interaction with fetchlands. It's very possible that it will just be a "good creature" in the standard format!
On a different note, you guys should stop by my Homestuck MTG Project topic.
Also, Tarmogoyf doesn't fall under 'this is a modern/legacy staple, we should reprint it!' Rather, it falls under 'this card was a mistake and is unnecessarily powerful, we shouldn't reprint it'.

Stupid question time again yaaaaay.
I have a Mikaeus out, my opponent plays one with X at 0. Does the legend rule apply first or does the fact that he has no toughness apply first?
Legend rule will still kick in
It enters the battlefield with 0 toughness
Then, state-based effects occur, which is both putting creatures with 0 toughness into graveyards and putting multiple copies of one legendary permanent into graveyards
Both effects occur simultaneously, so your Mikaeus would die

Hey everybody
If you have any copies of Olivia Voldaren, or can still get them cheaply, they're currently skyrocketing in price thanks to Patrick Chapin wrecking face with her at Worlds.
Eh, she's only at about ten. She was a little over half that before.

Doubling value in a single day is a pretty significant rise, I'd think.
Precursor Golem might also be going up soon, since that same Chapin deck uses it as well.
That looks like some really awesome cheap drawing for red. Discarding sucks, but just drop what you won't use, or just something with flashback!
And that reminds me how amusing I find it than Desperate Ravings is now apparently a really good tournament-worthy card. I mean, I guess it technically always was, but now pros are using it and raving about how good it is. "New Preordain" Chapin called it. Or at least better than Think Twice.
Edit: Wait, that's a real card?!?!? I assumed it was just someone's mockup of a custom card! Red's finally getting non-random looting! Kick-ass!

I heard about that today. From someone I actually trust. Sounds good.
I picked up the Graveborn deck today. We all basically know that this is probably one of the better PDSes so far, but I want to make a note about the die for a little bit. It's slightly different; it has a weird texture to it, like. a slight roughness. It's a tiny little side thing, but I just find this really cool for some reason.

It's enough for a comparison.
Would still make what I said work, because it's not dead (yeah i hate me too right now) last. Also the Slivers one would probably have to take the champion's spot there.
The Slivers deck was okay, but feels somewhat more incomplete than this one did. (Though, at the same time, Polluted Mire? :| I'll grant 1 Entomb only, but.)
Or maybe it's just me and/or I'm indicating that I'm really obvious. Well, I know I was trying to do so, but.
Both parts of the review of Graveborn are up on Ertai's Lament for those who are interested.
EXCELLENT.

Dude, one of the new decks is Night of the Ninja.
So. Freakin'. Excited.
I know, I love that wording. They used it on Contagion Engine too.
Maelstrom Wanderer is decent, but will require assloads of setup to be effective, and its other effect can be had cheaper (Urabrask, for five plus opponent stall, or Concordant Crossroads for ONE) or more effective (Karrthas).

I don't want it as a commander so much as I want it as a card in an Animar deck. Couldn't be more perfect there.
I
hate
countertop decks
just throwing that out there
