Thread: Magic: The Gathering -- Vampires, zombies and werewolves! (Oh My!)

One of the characters in the book states that he was flying off in the direction of one of his Aeries north of the city. Fleeing the city and cutting off access to his Firemind connection =/= leaving the plane.

Its kinda hard to leave the city when the plane is one big city though. But I'm really just playing devil's advocate here.

ANYWAY, new spoilers, holy crap. Griselbrand, expensive but pretty sweet ability. Temporal Mastery holy fuck what is Wizards thinking. I love it but dear lord.

illisid, are you going to make a new thread since we've reached 100 pages?

    MOONFOLK PLANESWALKER MOONFOLK PLANESWALKER YESYESYES

Nitpickin': Ravnica City is the capital of the plane, where the seat of government and the headquarters of the guilds is/was. The one super-city is subdivided into smaller sections that flow into one another, just like large sections of contiguous urban sprawl do here on Earth. You can drive up and down a huge piece of the eastern US and never leave "the city" even though you're not in the same city the whole way.

The Part 3 shows someone who looks like a Moonfolk. So, is it true that the plane of Kamigawa is destroyed, or was that someone yanking my chain? Someone said the Moonfolk planeswalker would be a way to keep the plane relevant without doing a set about it, and also because the moon of Innistrad does play a pretty big part in everything.

    Kamigawa is still around, yeah.

I believe I've been saying both those things on MTGS, though I'm sure others have also. (I'm luminum can over there.)

Not only is Kamigawa still around, it might be closer than we thought.

I don't want to jump to conclusions or anything, but consider:

    -Moonfolk
    -Spirits
    -Cards that flip
-The creative team has specifically stated that the events of the Innistrad Block take place on a single continent of a larger plane
-In-story, the Kamigawa Block happened thousands of years ago, and it's been over a hundred years since an angry Bolas 'walked there with vengeance on his mind, so it's anybody's guess what Kamigawa looks like today

See where I'm going with this?

The kami of Kamigawa are veeeeeeeery different from the geists of Innistrad. "Physical manifestations of abstract ideas" and "ghosts of the dead" don't have that much in common, in spite of sharing a creature type.

We've seen Kamigawa quite recently, Jace went there in the Agents of Artifice novel. It's pretty similar to how we left it; all Bolas did was wreck up the shit of the Myojin of Night's Reach and turn her followers against her, plus smashed up anything else that was related to Umezawa or anyone related to him.

So I saw someone post a theory which is almost 1005 false, but it would be so cool if it were true. With bolas in the core set, what if there was a cycle of tri-color walkers?
Maybe sarkhan gets to be jund colors, ajani gets to be naya, perhaps tezz in esper since he's from esper and all, and just to round it out, elspeth in bant? I mean, we've already seen the bolas card behind m13, so it's basically confirmed, but then the image also has 5 monocolored walkers behind him, so that theory can't happen BUT I CAN STILL DREAM
