    the slime uses 2 points on each eye and 4 points on it's brain so it can use the upgrade.

    the slime is sure it can't just keep making the brain bigger, and is in fact sure it is as big as it can get. you will need to think of a new way to get more brain power.

    (mini update because no pic needed)

    the slime would like to inform you that it has no idea what a scientist is or where to find one, and it is physically incapable of eating it's own brain as it is adjusted so it is utterly immune to his acid. perhaps you should review your memories for something the slime ate that would help in this situation.

    Turn back and go the other way. Also, make one or two small bladed organelles for when you want to eat other slimes in the future.

    with his color vision the slime discovers it's blue coloration comes from eating the glowing mushrooms. seems that it can use some Characteristics of things it eats.

    perhaps you misread, being blue is one of the characteristics of the mushrooms. not the ability to drink water. slime is just fine with drinking water.
