I updated the itineraries and changed the map to reflect what I assume will be the new Blue order, PaulPower=>charcharmunro=>doran.
Obviously we may end up deciding on a different order, and I'll adjust the sequence as necessary.
Paul: Pester chums
You proceed to converse with some of your online friends, possibly in relation to animated CHAOS DRIVE gifs.
Eurobunny: Explore
While Paul's doing that, you decide to have a look around outside.
==>
This is a pretty neat garden that Paul's family have got here. You wonder if there are any carrots...
Eurobunny: Get hit by growth ray
Uh... whoops?
Eurobunny: Proceed to rampage over small 1950s town somewhere in North-West England
You knock over a tree. This is why we can't have nice things.
==>
Oh wait, panic over, it's only Paul and his Dad's CURRENT MODEL RAILWAY PROJECT. It's a work in progress with new stuff being added all the time, so you decide you should check in here again before moving on to the next recipient.
Eurobunny: Introduce self to other local fauna
You stop by the pond to look at the GOLDFISH. Well, generations of inbreeding have made them more like WHITEFISH, but still.
==>
They seem to be expecting you to feed them. Unfortunately you didn't bring any fish food out with you on this adventure.
==>
This garden also gets a lot of birds, but they obviously aren't going to come while you're wandering around out here.
Sally: Introduce self to local LEGO kits
This seems like a safe place to live that isn't likely to result in you going AWOL. Hooray!
Paul: Notice Mum arriving home.
Fun times.
Mum: Boggle slightly less vacantly at these shenanigans
Oh hey so this is that mad thing Paul was going on about! Wait why does it have wings and a dragon tail?
Paul: Attempt to serenade Eurobunny with a hauntingly relaxing bassline
Well, here goes nothing.
Yeah... you're no Jade Harley. Although the only actual bum note was right at the end, which isn't bad going for you.
Paul: Grin cheesily.
Ol' starey-eyes is back!
Tomorrow I guess I'll take the bunny out to see some sights. Fingers crossed for some nice weather...
I agree with Nyanko, the Eurobunny is turning out really nice. The wings and tail fit together very nicely. Not to mention Rainbow's tiny salamander is unbelievably adorable.
Now that all the rabbits have started to develop a bit, it's pretty neat in general seeing how different they turn out.
There were going to be pictures here but we went to a meteor shower tonight and i didn't get to upload them! so watch this space tomorrow i guess
edit: alright HERE WE GO
Your name is LIWEI. You are sometimes known as JENNA or KITE, but today you have decided to be LIWEI. The name is pronounced 'leeway', like the word referring to an allowed amount of freedom or perhaps the motion of a boat, a fact which you definitely did not google just now, but this is the internet so nobody cares about pronunciation anyway! You are sitting in your ROOM, which is quite messy right now. You have a variety of interests related to ARTS AND CRAFTS, which is fortunate because today you are going to receive a special DELIVERY!
Oh my goodness what could this possibly be.
>LIWEI: Open the box!
i need to know what ANGEL to use... ...........
dude... you got to FLIP it. TURN-WAYS
AHA.
Wow, that was weird. But the box is now open! and inside.....
> What is it????
OH MY GOD, IT'S A BOX.
> Inside the box, dumbnuts.
!!!!
The BUNNY sits on your desk. It is so soft, so huggable, and what a cute clasp thingy around its neck. The HEARTFELT LETTER that fell out of its box earlier lies next to it. You peruse the contents of the letter expediently.
Hey Kite,
I hope the Bunny reaches you well. Pardon my handwriting, I know it's not the neatest. Sorry for taking so long with the Bunny too, but it's finally in your hands at last!
I originally tried to dye it black, but it didn't take at all, and completely washed out. :c I opted instead for a more normal addition, the neck band and keyring thing. Consealed inside is the heartfelt letter to the everyone, in tiny scroll form.
I had to put the bunny through the wash after dyeing it to clean it so it might look a bit rattier than the others. Oh well, it's still incredibly soft.
I'm glad I got to be a part of the whole Hare Force One. I hope your modifications go better than mind. : D
Enjoy,
Sam
... Concealed inside???
>INVESTIGATE!!
Oh my god there is a thing inside here.
> WHAT DOES IT SAY????
it says.....
oh my gosh.
In a cryptic maneuver, you decide to leave the contents of the HEARTFELT MESSAGE unrevealed so that everyone afterwards can read it and be as touched as you were. Of course they could just read it from this photo if they REALLY wanted to.
You feel like reassuring Sam that his handwriting is not at all bad and is in fact quite legible, that the keyring thing concealing the HEARTFELT MESSAGE is actually quite ingenius, and that the bunny is completely soft and huggable and not ratty at all by what you can tell and that he is so amazing.
But you settle for hugging the bunny and pretending it is Sam, and every one of the cool cats over at the MSPA fora. You imagine that the bunny hugs back. You decide that this is completely ridiculous and that you might be slightly insane.
After some deliberation, you also decide to name the bunny JACK LAYTON, in honour of its coloured roots. And by coloured, you mean green. This joke is slightly esoteric!
Part Two: Road Trip
Every good bunny needs his sunlight! You take JACK outside. It's a beautiful, blue summer day.
Actually, you are secretly a AUTOMOBILE CONDUCTOR in training, and today your training will continue! In a few weeks you will be a fully fledged DRIVER. But first, you must train. And JACK is coming with you.
There's your AUTOMATED CARRIAGE now. But we can just call it a 2002 Volkswagon Passat.
> Buckle the bunny in. Safety first!
You attach the KEYRING THING to the seatbelt just in case. That bunny aint goin nowhere.
i HAVE
the car
Driving, driving, driving. It really is a nice day.
JACK seems to be enjoying himself too!
After driving around a parking lot for an uneventful hour or so, you decide to stop and have a little fun. JACK, what are you doing on that steering wheel? You are not of the sufficient age, or height for that matter, to drive!
the bunny.... HASS the keys
Oh no!
But then he decides to just hang out the car window and be silly.
Jack, you are so silly.
That is the end of yesterday's adventures. More to come!
The pink bunny is cursed! Cursed, I say! Cursed with what? Well, apparently, it's cursed with agonizing slowness.
We were getting worried when the bunny didn't come back this week, since we assumed he'd be going priority mail. Unfortunately, it seems the post office is less kind than that, and given the speed at which he's supposedly moving, I can only assume they've made him hitchhike back.
So if anyone's traveling along I-40 and notices a well-armed bunny looking for a ride, please speed him along his way.
Photo for reference(Another one of those 'Don't click if you want to be surprised' ones, since it contains our mods):
Edit:You know, it's actually interesting to note how this mirrors the Kids' entrances into the Medium. John and Rose were right on the line for various reasons, then Dave gets a four hour timer and still gets everything done in a jiffy.
Then he has to wait four hours for a friggin' egg to hatch!
Fantastic adventure posts, PaulPower! Your garden is beautiful and your base playing is AWESOME. Multimedia INTERACTION, that's what I like to see!
You sure hope this box doesn't contain a table lamp. That wouldn't be what you're expecting at all.
That made me laugh pretty hard. So good.
Those wings and tail are fantastic, too! It's exciting that we've basically got no more plain bunnies! I can't wait until the other bunnies start getting as convoluted and detailed as the yellow bunny! They're all going to be so unique.
Edit: Oh! And also! Does EVERYONE in Scotland have a really beautiful garden?! Jeez! It's so amazing. I want a garden like that!
Edit: Oh! And also! Does EVERYONE in Scotland have a really beautiful garden?! Jeez! It's so amazing. I want a garden like that!
First people think Wales is in England, then they think it's in Scotland, I dunno... . Although I guess that might just be you being confused due to the slightly messed-up order Eurobunny's taking through the UK. But yeah, thanks (although not everyone's got a beautiful garden... next door's is kind of a tip), and thanks for liking my bass playing .
Anyway, working on Friday's update now, it's going to be all in one lump this time rather than being split into afternoon/evening, so it's going to be a pretty long post.
You wake up bright and early again. Today is going to be a BUSY day, after all!
These big, fluffy, Missouri clouds worry you, though.
They usually mean rain - and LOTS OF IT.

Your next stop is at one of Kim's favorite KANSAS CITY landmarks - The KAUFFMAN STADIUM - Home of the KANSAS CITY ROYALS.
They've only won one WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP (in 1985), and they pretty much are one of the worst teams in the US - but Kim has grown up with baseball for most of her life, and you gotta support the home team!
There's also the ARROWHEAD STADIUM for the slightly more successful KC CHIEFS next door, but who gives a fuck about football? We certainly don't. XD

You manage to make your way into INDEPENDENCE, MISSOURI.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the area (most likely ALL OF YOU),
KANSAS CITY spans across TWO STATES: KANSAS and MISSOURI.
Surrounding KC are many smaller CITIES -
all within about 15-20 minutes of the DOWNTOWN AREA.
You actually started your adventure in LEE'S SUMMIT where Kim lives.
Her family lives at a KC address, but actually are
located closer to INDEPENDENCE than DOWNTOWN KC.
INDEPENDENCE is a very HISTORICAL part of the KC-AREA because it was the home of
HARRY S. TRUMAN - the 33rd US PRESIDENT.
Kim also grew up in this area.
> Finnius: Humor Kim as she reminisces.
__________
Finnius: Humor Kim as she reminisces.
The HISTORIC INDEPENDENCE SQUARE hasn't changed much: The CINEMA, the BOWLING ALLEY, and many other shops (while renovated) have always been there since you can remember. Next to the WILD ABOUT HARRY store is an OLD FASHIONED ICE CREAM PARLOR that your grandma always took you to when you were little. It hasn't changed much since then either. The SQUARE really holds the feeling of simpler days and family togetherness that brings a tear to your eye every time you think about it. It also really makes you miss your grandparents, who have all past.

Finnius: Complete the day with DEBAUCHERY!
Apparently someone didn't pass you the memo about not drinking
BEER with other types of LIQUOR.
Lucky for you, you have a STRONG CONSTITUTION.
It's also during this time that those rain clouds decide to take a FAT DUMP on your area - causing the lights to flicker on and off while you contemplate climbing into your FORT to make better use of your IMAGINATION .
You end the day making sure you did everything you were supposed to:
Do not disregard hydration.
It was over 100 degrees outside. Mama don't raise no fool.
Attempt really hard exploration.
You were in three different cities today, and traveled from 9am until 5pm!
Begin avant-garde jubilation.
You're pretty sure all of the groping that's been done counts for this.
Engage in side yard recreation.
While you didn't plant anything, you did a lot of walking in the grass.
Fondly regard civilization.
Kim is too much of a sap to let something like this pass her by while in Independence.
> Finale in next update!
And even though I haven't gotten to his exit just yet, the bunny *HASS* already been sent off, as promised. :3
But I should wait a few months for when I'll be in Japan...then the bunny can see awesome stuff.
Oo - why are you going to Japan? And what part? :3
I used to live in Nagoya and the Hiroshima area, so if you've never been, PM me and I'd love to answer any Living in Japan Q's you might have!
Paul: Pin letter to notice board
You clear a space for the letter on the inventory management puzzle that you call your NOTICE BOARDS, allowing it to take its place among all the tickets, postcards and other memorabilia there.
And now for "More Info About Swansea Than You Ever Really Needed To Know" (This is a pretty long post: 42 pictures)
Paul: Look out of window
Ah, excellent, it looks like it's going to be a nice day.
Paul: Wake Eurobunny
Rise and shine, we've got a busy day ahead!
==>
And don't forget to fasten your seatbelt!
Eurobunny: Explore
You arrive at SWANSEA MARINA, a Land of Boats and Museums (LOBAM?).
==>
To your right is the tallest tower in Wales. It goes by the imaginative name of THE TOWER, MERIDIAN QUAY. Somehow it looks a little out of place with no other skyscrapers to offset it.
==>
A combination staircase/disabled ramp? Tavros would be so proud. The wind was pretty strong when Paul took this, and he nearly lost your box, with all the letters in! Now that would have been a disaster. Luckily he managed to grab on to it before it could get too far.
Eurobunny: Examine shorefront
To your left are Swansea Docks and Swansea Observatory.
==>
And to your right, a giant mint humbug that serves as Swansea's council offices and central library.
==>
Over in the distance you can see MUMBLES HEAD and the village of Mumbles nearby it.
Paul: Pose with Eurobunny
RETURN OF THE CHEESY GRIN
Also oh yeah, you shaved this morning in case people are wondering who this new guy is.
Eurobunny: Investigate local culture
You show up at the NATIONAL WATERFRONT MUSEUM, which isn't a very descriptive name. It's sort of Wales' national museum of people, secondary industry, transport and stuff like that.
Eurobunny: Utilise high-tech equipment
Now what in the hell is going on in here.
==>
Below you is a replica of Richard Trevithick's PENYDARREN TRAMWAY LOCOMOTIVE. The original was built in 1803-04 at an ironworks in Merthyr Tydfil to carry iron ore, and in 1804 made the first successful journey made by a steam locomotive on rails. Yeah, you're copying from the information plaque and you don't care.
Eurobunny: Exit museum
You... yeah, you don't know what this ship is doing here.
Eurobunny: Examine statues
This is a statue of DYLAN THOMAS, poet, playwright and Swansea's most famous son, also the guy responsible for the quote near the start of part 1. Yeah, that wasn't Russell T Davies, Paul was pulling your leg.
==>
And here is a statue of CAPTAIN CAT, one of Thomas' creations: a blind ex-sea-captain from the play Under Milk Wood.
==>
The Dylan Thomas Theatre (you think it's deliberately painted to look kinda dilapidated) and the Swansea Tram Museum, now sadly closed. The Swansea to Mumbles Tramway was the world's oldest passenger railway, constructed in 1804 (oh hey, coincidence), initially horse drawn before being steam powered and then electrified. Sadly it was shut down in the Sixties due to a shortsighted efficiency drive. Would have made an awesome tourist attraction if it had survived. Sadly, even the museum is shut now.
==>
To cheer yourself up, you look at this nice bridge that swings aside when boats need to go through.
==>
There's also SWANSEA LEISURE CENTRE, which has a checquered history. A few years ago, the Leisure Centre was shut down and the inside was gutted and prepared for demolition... and then there was a local election and the council changed hands from Labour to the Lib Dems, who decided they wanted to save the Leisure Centre. So it got resurrected. Funny old world.
==>
And random building-y things: Vue Cinema, the BT Tower (previously Swansea's tallest building before THE TOWER) and, well, stuff. Sometimes museum exhibitions are held on the grass here.
Paul and Eurobunny: Drive to a different part of Swansea
You arrive at SINGLETON PARK.
Eurobunny: Chillax
This is nice, isn't it.
==>
That cyclist just came down from that path to the right. You wonder what's up there.
==>
Oh hey, a little stream.
But now, on to the main attraction...
This is basically the reason you came into Swansea today.
Eurobunny: Enter Egypt Centre
Swansea University's EGYPT CENTRE - where Paul volunteers, although he's just visiting today to show you around - started out as a place to house part of Sir Henry Wellcome's collection of Egyptian Antiquities. Some time in the Nineties, it became a proper museum. It's a cool place, and also somewhere nice to look for BUNNY MODIFICATIONS.
Eurobunny: Introduce self to local fauna
... yeah, you don't think you'd like to be a mummy. The crocodile, hawk and cat don't seem to be enjoying it much.
==>
What're these guys all staring at?
==>
This looks like a nice place for a lie down, at least.
Eurobunny: Go upstairs
You head from the HOUSE OF DEATH to the HOUSE OF LIFE.
Eurobunny: Pose with Paul
A volunteer took this one. They all seemed pleased to see you.
Eurobunny: Attempt to play Senet
SENET, quite possibly the oldest board game in the world. It's a bit like Ludo or Backgammon with a tiny bit of Snakes and Ladders, you guess.
Eurobunny: Use headrest as a bumrest
You sit on the REPLICA HEADREST that Ancient Egyptians used instead of pillows, and survey the MATERIALS BOARD.
Maybe you should put on gloves.
Eurobunny: Return to House of Death
Those kids did a pretty good job of wrapping that DUMMY MUMMY, you reckon.
Eurobunny: Consult artifact database
Working hard, or hardly working?
Eurobunny: Leave Egypt Centre
Time to go home, having successfully acquired your BUNNY MODIFICATION (which will of course remain secret until the next person receives you). Let's take a couple of last looks around...
==>
... and back to the car!
Paul: However, you're not quite finished for the day yet!
Your MUM runs runs Clydach Library. When you mentioned to her yesterday that the idea was for the bunny to travel in time and space (well, rather more space than time) she decided to present it with an honorary certificate from the SPACE HOP summer reading programme.
Well, this sure is something. You guess you'll put it in the box with all the other stuff.
Paul: Pester Hope
This chum both lives locally and reads MSPA. Perhaps she'd like to see the bunny?
PESTERLOG
Paul.Power: So tell me something I don't know
Paul.Power: well, aside from the eatables bit Hope: I like the bunny.
Paul.Power: Kewl
Paul.Power: Well if you want to meet it, I'll still have it over the weekend Hope: I don't think any force in the world can make me leave the house tomorrow. And I think I am going to be going to see the raft race on sunday
Paul.Power: I could visit Hope: Read "leave the house" as "exit my bedroom"
Paul.Power: ah Hope: I was pretty ill last week, and being back in work after two weeks hit my system as a bit of a shock I think
Paul.Power: Okay
Paul.Power: okay change of plan, where's this raft race? Hope: Mumbles raft race Hope: At least I have been told it's sunday anyway
Paul.Power: Well hey, I could go too.
Paul.Power: Something for the bunny to do
Paul.Power: (don't worry, I'll blur your face out on any photos or something ) Hope: Hehe, will watch out for you then. I think it's in the morning
Paul.Power: Ok Hope: How much time did it take you to prepare all those?
Paul.Power: The photos? I dunno, wasn't really counting
Paul.Power: I'm used to mass batches of image commenting from my Advance Wars 2 Let's Play Hope: Hehe
So, looks like I've got something planned for Sunday. Mumbles raft race, eh...
Before packing Finnius away, you reflect on the great times you've had with him.
You've moved so many times in the last six years that it's been pretty hard to maintain
the new friendships you've continually had to make. It's not easy moving from
college, to Japan, back to college, North of KC, to Japan again, to Maryland,
and then to Lee's Summit.
The only way you can keep in contact with the majority of your friends
is via the Internet - and with everyone starting families and living states
(or even oceans) away... it just isn't easy.
Most of your evenings are spent to yourself, when they aren't spent working.
It's pretty difficult for you and can really get depressing at times, because you
tend to be a very social person. And while it's not hard to meet people, it's hard
not knowing how long it's going to be until you have to part from them.
Then they become just another person you used to know and wish you could
see again, but perhaps never will.
You'll never forget your time spent with Finnius - he brought you and some friends
you hadn't seen in awhile together and allowed you to spend time with one who will be
moving into her own house pretty soon.
You can only hope that everyone who's had him has been able to share a special
moment with him like you have, and that the people who are destined to get him do as well.

You give Finnius two things: one is something you made that reminds you of all the good times you've had in Japan - something that will hopefully encourage others to take any opportunity given to them to travel abroad, and the other a momento from a trip you made last year within the US - a reminder of the amazing people that have touched your life and something that will hopefully remind others to cherish the friendships and relationships that they've made with the people close to them. All of these are placed in a box (that will fit into the self-service box at the post office), and set next to you in the car, ready to go.
