Now who the hell is going on here.

Of course you probably don't know who the hell is going on here - but this is Kayle, MSPA reader, forum lurker, adventure writer of Retraining - though not well known as any of those things.

You're EXTREMELY EXCITED because today is the day you have set aside to DESTROY THE WORLD, specifically with your girlfriend. Demolition of everything is always loads of fun, but it's best when you accomplish it by playing ONE OF THE COOLEST GAMES OF ALL TIME. Of course everyone knows that this means you are going to play SBURB today.

You've done some research and heard about some people pulling DOUBLE REACHAROUNDS, where each player is both client and host for each other, and you figure that this makes the whole game that much easier, so why the hell not? It took some convincing but you even got your girlfriend in on it. This is going to be the BEST GAME EVER.

You are currently standing in your ROOM. Next to you is your DRAGONS POSTER, which is cool, plus your girlfriend adores it; next to that poster is your PRIZED SHINING EEVEELUTIONS COLLECTION. It took a lot of effort to get all five of them.

Speaking of which you love POKEMON and enjoy being a COMPETITIVE POKEMON TRADING-CARD GAME PLAYER, though you do not have any serious ACCOMPLISHMENTS to date. There are deck boxes full of random cards littered around your room, as well as your LEAFEON AND GLACEON THEME DECK BOXES, which are stuffed with various merchandise and accessories. You have a set of DICE on your dresser, a bag of various GEMSTONES on your headboard - also a gift from your girlfriend - and a DRAGON AND SWORD FIGURINE which is just awesome.

You also have loads of papers strewn about all over the place because YOU LIKE DRAWING and you feel that you AREN'T THAT BAD AT IT MAYBE. But let's please not talk about that ok?

Lastly you have several empty Mountain Dew cans because YOU FREAKING LOVE MOUNTAIN DEW and it's PROBABLY NOT VERY GOOD FOR YOU. But you don't care.

You were goaded into getting a new messenger specifically for this whole DOUBLE REACHAROUND THING, called FriendTattle. Your tattletag is shadowPhoenix and you often... switch up your style to reflect your mood~

Yeah, you're not sure whose idea it was to put the door behind this little hallway thing like that, but it's over there.

you are missing two of the eeveelutions.

Actually, the Pokemon Star collection mechanic only lasted through EX: POWER KEEPERS, the set in which all five existing Eeveelution Star Pokemon were released; immediately after Power Keepers, the DIAMOND AND PEARL block started and they stopped releasing Pokemon Star. Glaceon and Leafeon weren't actually 'released' to the public for over a year, in the Majestic Dawn subset, so there was no opportunity for a Glaceon or Leafeon Star to be printed. Just as well since Glaceon and Leafeon have relatively uninteresting shining forms.

You have Glaceon and Leafeon Lv. X to compensate, which were released along with Majestic Dawn, though they are not quite as rare. You haven't taped them to the wall because they're still TOURNAMENT LEGAL and may turn out to be competitively playable this year. Who knows.

You can't wait to get your hands on Espeon and Umbreon PRIME, but you haven't had time to go to an UNDAUNTED prerelease. Oh well.

Oh yeah, it's the GODTOP. Actually, it's not a godly computer anymore, the poor thing is a year old and has some... issues. Still a powerful and faithful machine, despite all of the misfortune that has befallen it. You need to go through and clean it out sometime, to try and get it running as fast as it used to. It should still last you several more years, thanks to its excellent specs. You just hope that memory requirements don't creep up faster than you had thought they would.

You've got it hooked up to the max up here. It's a pain to disconnect everything and take it anywhere, but that's fine since you rarely leave your room. It's plugged into a SECOND MONITOR, so that you can watch anime or work on something full-screen and still have chat windows and notepad files off to one side, perfectly visible without wasting memory and processing power on alt-tabbing. You've also got external speakers which are just awesome. Normally you would also have your USB hub out, which has the cable for synching with your MP3 player, your mouse and keyboard wireless jacks, and your flash drive, but all that stuff is in your laptop bag right now, which in turn is under your desk.

It's booting up right now. It won't take long to finish and then you can start installing SBURB.

Yeah it's pretty much the most awesome poster in the history of the universe. Except maybe your Far Cry promo poster, but you haven't set that up since you moved in a few months back. You need some Homestuck posters to contest this title.

And you already drank the Dew. All of the Dew. All of it. But as for this...



This is your SBURB disc cartridge. You keep these things in pristine condition because you like storing your discs in them, especially when you travel. Normal CD cases are for losers.

You captchalogue it in your DAT MODUS. Besides having the most hilarious name ever, it's really handy because it multiplies your storage space by some ridiculous number - by hacking up your items and arranging them like a puzzle inside one captchalogue card. You have it set to only dissect 4x, but theoretically if you turned it up, you could store an infinite number of items in one card. It would take freaking forever to retrieve any given item, though, since the modus has to find and piece together every little dissected part.

You have four other cards in your closet, but you usually only ever need one at a time. Since this is the only item you've got in the card, the modus doesn't need to dissect it. Probably a good thing.

We do, but they're more softspoken because we're both spectacularly lazy. She uses a lot of '...', I switch between using ~, ., ... and no punctuation at all to end sentences. It's dependent on my mood, and... my mood didn't change a whole lot. So.

You don't have time to optimize this. Besides, cards and shiny rocks both sound pretty kickass anyway, with enough alchemy. So you allocate your two Strife Specibi with some of the closest things available - though you don't put any of it in your Strife Deck.

You now have mineralkind and cardkind. You feel like a combination of Tosaka Rin and Sheena Fujibayashi. Two of the most awesome characters ever. Hell yes.

It's more fun to have more things in the modus. Plus you feel like having Glaceon around for good luck. You adore that thing so much. You've captchalogued it many times, so you know the DAT modus won't harm it.

You figure you better get moving on installation and get this show on the road, so you retrieve your SBURB cartridge as well.



Oh god dammit, look at what that modus did to your SBURB discs!

Fortunately your mother keeps some scratch repair fluid somewhere in the house... but this is the last thing you need with meteors falling down around your neighborhood. And you just allocated your strife specibi, too. God damn.
