Now, I don't claim to know much about mafia games. But I have already tried mixing "Choose your own" and "Mafia" in the past and that didn't go well at all.

I think a CYOCfia could work... heck, I have a couple ideas as to how you'd figure it out based around oneshots and the like.

Probably don't have it in me to make it though, considering all the other forum stuff I'm trying to work out.

Well, I have an idea; it's not specifically for a trainwreck, though. And it's also not specifically my idea, but it fits into my area of expertise. Namely games that have ridiculous night actions and/or failed to get going multiple times. But should I?

Sounds interesting enough to me. I'd play it. I have this weird setup lying around too, I think. Some thing where there are a bunch of revenge roles and kill yourself to activate roles and crap.

I've recently formulated an idea for an insane mafia game, but I'm not very certain the concept would work in its current format. If anything, it would likely work well as a clusterfuck of sorts, but I could always use a second opinion on it to make sure it doesn't end in disaster.

If anyone wants to help me iron out my concept, shoot me a PM and we'll discuss things.

How's about you randomly select cards for the people who're in the game, and then make up roles (or non-roles) that work with them?

Figured I'd post here instead of bumping my thread with a triple quadruple post. We're about ready to start my GURPS game, but one or two extra players wouldn't hurt. ;] It doesn't take too long to make a character... Okay, it took these guys like a month, but they were really busy otherwise. :< I can help anyone out who wants to play.

I got real real nostalgic for Solaris' old MSPAF Mafia game all of a sudden and I'd sure like to play a game like that again. Someone PM me next time a good game starts up :3

EDIT: On second thought, I might just run a game myself. I've got a good flavor in mind and it doesn't seem like it'd be too difficult, although I'm aware how famous and last those words probably are.
