I feel like this needs pre-publishing.

If there is one thing that the Жthoÿi are any good at, it is not paperwork. Yet somehow they keep inundating their peers with the stuff. The fact that there are now three tents just to store all the reports that have came in since two days ago says something about that.
There are reasons, of course. Of all the million pieces of paper that fill tents 3X, 3Y and 4K they show only about ten thousand different things in all. With a redundancy policy as redundant as this redundant sentence is, things tend to be repeated a lot.
The things that are repeated the most often tend to be the most eye-catching. Kallihu picked one up and read:
1> When will this day end? It’s been three days according to the clock and there’s no end in sight. This sun is weaker than at home, but too much weak stuff can still equate to strong stuff! There’s a moon too, and that’s much stronger. My god(s).
Whine, whine, whining about this, whining about that. Well, I guess you can’t really blame them. All that whining and dying is a little bit annoying to the general however.
Kallihu plunges down into the mire, and plucks out another slip. Oops, it’s the same message. Reaching out for a third one… yes, still the same thing. It takes another six attempts to get a message that says a different thing.
1> Mind, there are many people piling out after the initial two. Most of them have a gun; some of them have some other stuff too. Especially at t+0.25; that’s the time when all the tanks and stuff comes around.
Something useful, at least. That could time attacks and stuff. They are abysmally slow when compared to the Жthoÿi day though.
Once again, he launches himself into the sea of yellowish-white. This time it took nineteen different slips of paper to say two things, and the other thing is:
1> Is it just me, or do they have no face? A lot of these people seem to have very diminished facial features or none at all. It looks like they’ve… devolved, somewhat. But according to their designation, they couldn’t be over a thousand years old! How can an animal change like that!?
Kallihu knows how not to explain that. He immediately rushes off to the fax room over in tent 16N. Sure enough, the facial features are far smaller than what the records made no more than a hundred years ago would imply. This may be a situation of some magnitude.
An unexpected element.
