You yoink the starter image from Self-Insert Adventures to give people a highly misleading idea of what this is supposed to be.

Okay. I know there's a thread in here for avatar requests, so why not a matching thread for music requests?
This is so that we don't have to use existing music for animations or movie sequences. Original music is always awesome and comes with fewer problems with having it taken down!
Guidelines for requests:
To prevent misuse of this thread (and to maintain the composers' sanity), this is not the thread to ask for a theme for a fancharacter or fantroll. This thread is reserved for MSPAFAs, collabs, roleplays, or games that require music for specific sequences and/or animations, so that we don't have to use existing music.
Request songs of any size, of most genres (although be aware that if you specify a genre that nobody here specializes in, you'll be getting a much slower response). For best results, provide some sort of context - say, link to your MSPAFA and give as much basic information as you can publicly, so that we know roughly what kind of scene we'll be providing music for.
Should certain details be required to stay private, please say so in your request, and then PM the musicians that offer with more details. Swearing them to secrecy is allowed, naturally.
Copyright to the songs in question remains with the musicians. Should you wish to sell them, or do other such commercial ventures, please consult with the musician before use. However, you get a non-revocable* license to use any requested song in anything noncommercial. Just don't be a dick with it, 'k? The music people get to share the spoils. If there are any. Which there probably won't be.
Needless to say, please credit the musicians when you use the music. This should be obvious, but it probably isn't.
If you're going to have a long-term music project (say, an MSPAFA that requires several consecutive remixes) feel free to ask about that, too - although musicians might have more and different requirements for working on long-term projects.
For Musicians:
If you find a request that you like, quote it and reply to say you'll be working on it. When it's complete, post a snippet in this thread and send the full version, privately, to the person who asked for it (I'd recommend using email or PM for that purpose). Just to keep from spoiling the surprise for everyone.
Unless whoever's asking wants you to post the entire thing, in which case, sure why not.
You retain the copyright of all songs that you submit. However, this is a non-revocable* right for the other person to use your song in any noncommercial work that he or she may wish. I ask the requestors to contact you before using your music commercially, but ultimately you'll probably want to keep track of your music yourself. It's also a very good idea to notify who you originally made the song for if you ever send it somewhere else, too. Just common courtesy.
If you're willing to sift through this thread regularly to make music from it, just PM me with a writeup and I'll add you to the list.
* Non-revocable means no, a musician cannot demand that a requestor take down any music that has been composed and submitted for this purpose. The musician can still ask, of course. I think you guys know why I have to explicitly note this.
