The Beatles would be a good gang name.
The Beatles would be a good gang name.
The pokémon nerd in me demands a Exoskeleton+ninja fusion.
I also demand more awesome alchemized weapons, because there has been a severe lack of them.
For the "recurring villain Jack" idea.It would be great. The bugs enter the Medium and meet their consorts for the first time, and who's leading the raid on their village? Jack Noir.
The bugs are in bad shape after defeating the last denizen. They are five feet away from a return node, and who's blocking the way? Jack Noir.
Sked has almost finished his last super-complicated puzzle. Who's got the last piece?
Jack motherfucking Noir.
Oh... Sorry.
So what am I supposed to do about it? Just stop contributing to this project that I'm really exited about just because of one stupid misunderstanding that has been sorted out and moved on from ages ago by now?
Couldn't you just ask some other mod to watch it instead so you don't have to if that's the problem?
Oh. I though I were not allowed to argue with anyone! Well no problem then!
... wait, then what is this po-
Another Interfacelog. This time trying out Atri. It's later in the game. Sked has already entered gate 1 and Sked, Ikti, Kesh, and Taza are already in the game safely.
Edit: It's my goal to create as many instances of Sked as I can.

Nightingale, you are my new favourite person.
Nice log.
I guess exoskeletonsprite is pretty much fanon now, at least for Sked?
Okay so I was wondering what I should contribute for my first artistic contribution here. I liked the talk of Sked's time-travel powers being derived from alarm clocks and being annoyingly loud. This started out as a drawing of what his end-game "Time-Buzzers" (What I've dubbed them for now until someone comes up with something better) might look like, but I think they might actually be a bit too cool-looking for him. I suppose he's allowed to be a little badass, his awesome dad has left a pretty big exoskeleton for him to fill. Now he just needs to dual-wield two huge swords made to look like an hour and a minute hand and he can make his papa proud.
And yes the clocks are at 6:08 (Although I suppose the hour hand might be slightly off), well the one in his right hand is, the other one is sprite-flipped.
Two logs since I checked this in the morning? Lotus, you continue to be awesome, and I like the concept of shedding being an awkward thing to talk about/see. Also, I love the Timebuzzers, Saving Bell, and the whole idea of "recurring villain spades slick".
As for exoskeletons, I personally think Sked should be the only one to use it as a "pre-entry" prototype, since all the exoskeletons look about the same (not including whatever is combined with them). Someone said the imps I drew at the beginning looked a little sharklike; maybe, deriving from that, someone could live in a sort of fishing village and prototype a carnivorous fish pre-entry?
I could imagine some sort of flyfish/shark hybrid jumping into the kernell by mistake. Hillarity ensues.
Also, glad you like my blade designs! I tried making andrewish sprites for them, but they turned out horendous so I scrapped them. Anyone is free to give it a shot though~
Also, Tyrfinagle's name comes from combining Tyrfing, a sword from Nordic myths and Finagles law.
If we're still sticking with the whole "They play Sburb exactly the way it's supposed to be played".
The Sprites are attracted to the "Doomed or dead", which presumably means thats what Sburb wants them to be prototyped with.
Sked uses his Exoskeleton. I could imagine Kesh using some mechanical toy he built and/or broke. Taza uses a dead childhood pet.
Shie lived near the water, maybe she was the one who prototyped some kind of shark thing that was stuck in a net.
Yeah that's where the idea came from, but honestly they seem a bit complex for the bugs especially Sked. They seem like anime swords with unwieldy things jutting out of them that would kind of get in the way. That's more Dave's specialty, no need to step on his toes with our own time-traveling blade-user. Don't get me wrong, they are very cool, but Sked seems... Simple, but in a good way. Simple is sometimes a good way to go, a simple weapon for a simple fella.
I was thinking swords that just look just like clock hands, something like the ones I "borrowed" for the Time-Buzzers, but with handles. Hand-Handles. A Minute-Handle and an Hour-Handle
Okay I really need to stop trying to be cute with these puns
They just seem spiky and horned to me, they could pick up those qualities from almost anything.
Anyway, I arbitrarily decided right now out of the blue that when not in use, Sked's Timebuzzer clock-faces can be stored behind his shoulders. They attach to the back of his bell-pauldrons. I'm debating whether having them double as shields is too much... Probably.
Okay, as I thought back to the kids and trolls sessions, I realized something.
So, each guardian is what causes a group of S__b players and their species to be who they are.FIRST GUARDIAN. Every planet destined for intelligent life has such an entity meant to protect it, and facilitate the planet's ultimate purpose. A first guardian is typically almost as old as the planet itself, and each has a unique, circuitous origin through the knots of paradox space. They can be born into a great diversity of forms, though they all share a common, especially potent genetic sequence. The code grants them near omnipotence, and when merged with a host of great intelligence, near omniscience as well.
Doc Scratch was an agent of L.E., ruthless, to the point, he initiated a species that tore though the cosmos who needed hate to survive.
Bec is a dog, loyal over anything else. His species is generally calm, hoping for peace over war, that awards loyalty over results.
So, what would be the First Guardian of the bugs?
IDEA: Everyone prototypes with *an* exoskeleton or equivalent, but only Sked with his own?
I still prefer the version where everyone prototypes their own thou. IDEA: It can still be varied, through various kinds of damage and things stuck on it etc. So Sked would have a headshot one, others could have ones split in half creepily where they emerged, or crushed flat, or missing limbs, or only the right or left half because it was bisected. And all these would LAYER as armour on the royalty, and the damage translates as weak spots. And all of them would second tire prototype with something as well that's where the shark and the like comes from.
Does this sound cool?
Hmm, you know what would be cool regardless of how many it end up being? Creepy music with exoskeletonsprite theme. It's a slightly different kind of creepy than death: imagine if your shed hair and fingernail clippings came alive and formed a copy of you? Also an aspect of hollowness. And remember this way to describe what it is: A shed hollow shell of yourself that you outgrew, frozen in time.
Ideas for first guardian:
-Tree (slow and steady calm growth. Problem is lack of sentience)
-creature similar to a dolphin/Ichthyosaur
-hiveminded swarm of small insects (empathising how DIFFERENT it is and that the bugs are nothing like that might be hard)
-Some creature with no equivalent of earth, for example somehting highly intelligent but that lives stuck on the sea floor like anemones or sea pens.

This idea is pretty cool. Remember that it would reflect on imps/underlings as well, and they'd get old pretty fast if they were all "injured bug skeletons". Though it might also be a little cool if some of the injuries are more extreme. It'd be almost like all the enemies are zombies, and WOULD help differentiate this from the usual "zany prototype" fan-sessions.
Just as important as "who is the First Guardian" would be "what is the First Guardian's role?". Scratch never even played Sgrub and just chilled in his moonmansion, while Bec had an active role as a Guardian.
My vote for first guardian: Sked. (I mean that humorously).
The kids had two doll prototypes and we haven't even seen what Jade prototypes (with four dolls, a doll is fairly likely).
I think we could mix it up with ashes of deceased guardians or one without any exoskeleton resemblance but it'd be neat to have three or so prototypes with some sort of exoskeleton too I think.
That would actually be pretty cool. He'd play along great.
