It was thought that once, long ago, the world was covered in large swathes of land. That almost half of the world was above the sea. Creatures of every kind roamed freely and the empires of man knew no limit. It was said to be a utopia unlike no other in all the stars.
====>
Now there is only one city left in the world. Home, the last empire of man left above the vast ocean. In all the world outside of Home there is nothing but never ending sea. You see, sometime, long ago, the entire world was flooded. There arose two oceans. The Light Ocean and the Blackwater Ocean. By luck or by chance the island that Home was build upon rose up and floated on top of the incredibly dense Blackwater Ocean and drifted for 1000 years until by chance or by luck it wandered between 7 ancient spires that rose from far below the waves. It has remained there ever since, tethered with long metal chains.
====>
The people who lived on Home were now free to explore the oceans around them. These wondrous oceans were constantly shifting and changing. The brave sailors who set out upon the sea soon discovered that there were other islands floating across the Blackwater Ocean, submerged and ruinous, but filled with wonders unknown to the people of Home, for they had forgotten all about the history of the peoples before them while they drifted aimlessly all those years.
====>
Though simple, these treasures were soon to be the greatest treasure the people of Home had ever known. It was the age of the Salvagers. The chaotic, twisting tides of the lower ocean were constantly giving and taking the fragments of a world long gone. Every man who could work a boat was soon to setting sail in search of adventure, excitement, and riches.
====>
People from every lifestyle in Home were joined together in the thrill of the hunt. It was also the age of unity for the people on that lonely island nation. No matter your vocation you could escape a life of routine and poverty to join the carefree life of a Salvager out on the ocean blue.
====>
But it wasn't a life without dangers. Buccaneers were quick to prey upon the weaker ships they encountered. And perhaps worse was the Blackwater, too dense for any man to tread, it has been said that even to graze the lower sea was surely an inescapable death. It has been 50 years since the age of Salvagers has begun, and still today grander and grander treasures are being found floating with the ruined continents of ol--- Schhhhhhk
