Oh man, I really need to think before taking on a song to make parody lyrics to, because Beelzeboss was probably not the best project I could've taken up at 11:00 at night. Bluh Bluh, here it is, based off a picture that was incredibly awesome but I lost. Please excuse any inconsistencies in canon and just chalk them up to Rule of Funny.

In any case, it was really fun doing all those pesterlogs up in tinychat earlier! I'm glad I gave it a shot, and it was nice talking to everyone in there too, hoping we can do it again sometime!

We kinda did our own little radio-play-type-thing and it was pretty hilarious (sorry for my horrible Karkat). Hello there. I'm obviously new here, just joined the forums, but in any case, I decided to come here after being goaded into doing this Gamzee/Eridan pesterlog. Forgive me if it's not that good, it is my first try. Constructive criticism is appreciated though!

Yeah, I agree. I'll try him again later as more relaxed and slower-paced. I think the problem is that I'm naturally more of a loud, fast speaker, so Gamzee is kind of the antithesis of my normal speaking habits.

In any case, after doing some chats in the tinychat, I did other voices, so decided to try them again, solo, to post here, if anyone woudl like to give some feedback or CC.

Here's an instrumental track. I'll be recording a bunch of voices (Sollux, Tavros, Equius, and Dave, as well as backups for John, Gamzee, Eridan and Karkat) and I'll more than happily put it all together.

Here's what you do if you want to contribute:
1 ) Tell us! Post here telling me who you'll be recording for. (Like I just did.)
2 ) Use video2mp3.net as a video converter to get the .mp3 file.
3 ) Drag it into Audacity.
4 ) In a separate track, record the magic!
5 ) Delete the backing track and export it as an MP3 again.
6 ) Tindeck, Sendspace, or otherwise get me the file.
7 ) ? ? ?
8 ) Profit

EDIT: Here's my first shot at a bunch of the voices.

If you want to re-record any of the parts-- even those I've already done-- please feel free to do so. Mine is not the conclusive version, and I would appreciate greatly any additional versions of the numerous voices I've already done. This isn't a one-person show! I won't let my pride stand between the HS community and a good finished product.

@Varynova: I'm going to be at a convention for the next three days, so I'm afraid it'll be pretty much impossible for me to do anything on the recording front until that's over with. But if nobody has done these parts before my return, I'll be glad to do the parts for Vriska and Rose. This isn't calling dibs or whatever, though, anyone else can do these parts as well! I don't want to slow the project down any.

It's like it's simultaneously my birthday and Christmas, even though that's ridiculous. And after listening twice I realized that I rhymed "around" with "around." Oh well. If that's just a starter thing (even though it's amazing) maybe I'll change Nepeta's line to "We live so we can pounce and bound" or something.

Yeah, I do agree I should probably tone him down. The problem is that my natural voice is loud and fast, so he's kind of the antithesis. At least that makes him a greater challenge! Anyway, for those interested or who could give some constructive criticism, here are a few more I tried out. I think I like/fit Karkat best, so I did a bunch of him, but there's also a try each at Equius and Dave. the tinychat is great for this kind of stuff!

I found Jay-Arr's version of this song when I was browsing Tindeck, as I am wont to do. And I was all THIS IS PERFECT. And then this happened. I... I hope that's okay.

(Someday I'll learn how to sing okay probably not.)

@ ScientificFlorist: You are the true winner here. 8D

@ professorOak: Are you recording with audacity? I always had the same problem you do, with the mic not being able to handle my voice and just blowing out. If you mess with the slidey bar next to the microphone icon, it should improve at least a little. At least, it did for me?

As far as your actual voice goes, I freaking love your Karkat and Equius, they are absolutely wonderful. I'm not quite as sure about your Dave, though? I think maybe it sounds like he's taking his lines too seriously? Like, he's too emotional. Or something.
