Thanks! Sadly, getting words to rhyme is waaaay different from actual rapping (especially AIDS on the spot rapping oh god). I appreciate the praise! Gotta love your Aradia voice!

I found this. Should have seen if anyone had done it first. Everyone should still try their hand at it, though.

Hey guys! Well, first off I should say that I was basically inspired to join the forum because of this thread. Seriously. You guys are awesome. Just putting that out there.

Getting on with this post... My natural tone is both mature and yet annoyingly young-sounding. I discovered this was actually good for something: voicing a snarky 13-year-old girl.

[From Rose's convo with Doc Scratch here.

I have also discovered that in an ironic twist of fate, the baby-ish voice I use when talking to my cats is perfect for Nepeta.

    Useless rambly notes on recordings:

I think I'm going to try voicing Kanaya and Feferi next. Maybe Jade? I'm pretty good at doing both girly voices (they don't actually sound like that Nepeta convo I promise; that voice of mine is a special case) and voices that are... Err, would proper be the word? Yes, proper.

I am IN LOVE with all the stuff you guys do with songs. Whenever I listen to music I always try to relate it to different things. Just the other day I was listening to songs from AVPM/S and thought of Homestuck and dozens of connections popped up in my head: "Change Voldemort to Bec Noir and 'Voldemort is Going Down' would be an awesome song for the Homestuck kids!' "'No Way' fits the remaining living trolls' situation perfectly omg!" etc etc. I'm a huge musical geek, so there you go.

I'm in the process of rewriting 'So Much Better' from the perspective of Aradia when she becomes Godtier and is finally alive again. I'm about halfway done with the lyrics-- it's way harder than I thought it would be!

    Wooooah this post turned out extraordinarily long. I'll cut the rambling here. xD;

I quite like your Doc Scratch. He's very proper in a sinister way! >) My only complaint is that you talked a bit fast toward the end of some of your sentences.

Edit: Welp, I guess I'm recoding all of the updates for the past few days?

Re: MSPA Voice Acting Thread 2: Electric Boogaloo!

Had a crack at it, did it in one take, cause I don't think I could take any more. If anyone wants me to try for a more "Eridan" voice, do the background characters, or generally try harder and make it very slightly better, let me know. Until then, you get good ol' Brit>Scot degredation ;D

EDIT: Oh yeah, if anyone wants to mix this shitty thing with a Kanaya voice, go for it.

Oh yeah, I went and typed it out for anyone who gives a shit:

    Really? Thanks!

Your Rose is pretty awesome, too! :> And psshh, I think you did a good job with Scottish!Kanaya.

Sooo I recorded a ton of stuff today. I'm on Spring Break, so I have a lot of free time on my hands. I apologize in advance for the subsequent spamming I will very likely do.

I recorded both Rose and Jade in the update here. I suppose I could've put them both together, but while they sound fine separate, side by side you can definitely tell they're done by the same person. And if a Rose/Jade/Doc Scratch wanted to make a full fledged convo with either part I would be beyond excited!

Then I recorded both parts from Terezi and Nepeta's conversation here. I just love the dynamic between the two of them, and this conversation is pretty much the most hilarious thing ever. I like to imagine Terezi's roleplaying in a dramatic, gravelly (and mighty-- especially mighty) voice, so that's the way I did it. Kind of hurt my throat, though!

Aaaaand then... I did this. I think Equius and Nepeta's moirallegiance is precious, and-- well, know how I said when I listen to music I connect it to things in my head? Guess what I was listening to today?

If you guessed Wicked, you were right. Have a cookie.

ugggghhh I just wish my mic was better

I think I'll try making a homemade pop filter thing and see if it helps. I've heard you can fix one up with some hose and a wire hanger? idk

I found the first Eridan part I saw and added my own Kanaya part :3
I was sick all last week and I'm only just now getting my voice back, so I thought my slight raps might sound good on Kanaya. (BRITISH kanaya. lol)

    Wwhoops.

I'm sorta gneh about how it came out, and the sound quality is a bit bleh, but I did it over 20 minutes at 6 in the morning. I think I'll probably redo it later.

Really though, I feel like this song lends itself to a chorus of singers. A few of us should get together and make something really fantastic.
