Okay, I am seriously hating MS Paint (yes, the computer program, not the comic adventures of course) because it made my new sprite look all grainy and it randomly started saving stuff in .GIF form instead of in .PNG form like I need to to. >.<

I would suggest using GIMP. It's free also and more like photoshop. Paint isn't really that good. Its not as simple, but its can do a lot more.
