completely oblivious to the fact the universe just did a 180.
Each island here has its own, pretty substantial, gravitational force.
This accounts for why Will's decent was so slow;
The island were trying to pull him every-which-way,
while the master gravity insisted on pulling him towards it...
whatever it is.

Ouch!

The author probably is completely wrong in thinking this,
but you sped up and therefore ascended faster than you descended.
Your de/acceleration decreased/increased exponentially,
so when you were going down, when you were halfway to the flip,
you had slowed to half your original speed.
When you got to the flip, you were at 1/16 your original speed.
However, when the universe turned and you headed back,
screw it, the author doesn't know this shit.
The point is you went ZOOM and here you are.

Also, I designed some girl and she's been sitting around a while, but I'm not sure when to introduce her. >:
She's in the Red Area. My idea was that she can see what's going on from where she is.
But I'm not going to say how until she appears. >u>
Maybe I'll show her when these guys manage to move on to the next area.
