This sentence confused me, but the real meaning comes easily enough: they have only seen Eridan miss one time while firing his rifle, SCP-1025-23.

Addendum 1025-11a: SCP-1025-11 is not to be engaged at long range now that SCP-1025-23 is back in its possession. If possible, taking SCP-1025-12 hostage will most likely prove effective in convincing SCP-1025-11 to surrender.

To clarify on dialogue punctuation: If there's continuing narration after the dialogue ends, you use a comma, like so:
"I REALLY HATE MY FUTURE SELF," said Karkat.
But if that's it for the sentence, you use a period:
Karkat said, "I REALLY HATE MY FUTURE SELF."
And if it's a question, you use a question mark either way.
"HOW THE HELL DO I GET PAST THIS LEVEL?" asked Karkat.

This type of punctuation should always be used even for Dave's bits, even if they have no other punctuation in them, because otherwise it will be hard to read outside the context of a pesterlog.

To clarify on proper nouns vs. not proper nouns: "Karkat" should always be capitalized, both in the narration and any time a kid or troll who capitalizes uses it. (Of course, exceptions for dialogue only apply to Homestuck, and not to anything else, lol.) "Yelled" shouldn't be capitalized.

Another thing is that you missed some apostrophes, including in the cleaned-up version. Words like "that's," as in "that is," should have an apostrophe (unless in the dialogue of someone who doesn't punctuate; John and Karkat both punctuate, so they should have apostrophes). Same with "let's." This is a pretty common error, but fortunately really easy to fix!

Also, there's some inconsistency in tense--"Karkat felt like he was going to explode" versus "He says aloud." Also easily remedied--I think it only happens once or twice.

I saw in the cleaned-up version (which I didn't quote because it went up while I was halfway through writing this--sorry!) that you put new speakers into new paragraphs--awesome! But you don't have to do it when the same person speaks again, like with Karkat at the part about the grub-sucking human game. After the narration bit, the second sentence he says can stay in the same paragraph.

Pretty simple really! With the application of these mechanical rules, this could be a hilarious crossover. I hope you're planning to continue it!

Edit: Oh! A thing I forgot to mention that can be kind of confusing! If you have a quote ending with a question mark or an apostrophe, but it was the kind where you'd use a comma otherwise, then you still put the next word in lowercase unless it's a proper noun. So, " 'EGBERT!' he screeched. "

Rose is fucking nuts. This plan is stupid.

Dave would have been able to clearly remember just how many times he'd thought that so far, if he wasn't up to his goddamn neck in babbling horrorterror ass being taught horror calculus 101. It's kinda hard to pay attention in class when your teacher, Mr. As-Many-Vocal-Orifices-As-Can-Fit-In-A-Fucking-Football-Stadium the Terrible, is using half those mouth-things to gnaw on wicked souls between sentences. Needless to say, the map to emo-Candyland was taking its sweet time in coming together. And there were a couple of real-life distactions that weren't helping, either.

When he'd travelled back in time, gone to sleep and started Operation Sky-Party, Dave had a bit of trouble getting himself to let these brain-fondling motherfuckers anywhere near his pristine teenage mind. Shit was on a music-rich diet with a fuckton of Irony supplements, laying specifically off anything that resembled a pile of asses (extra-dimensional tentacled ones or otherwise). But eventually, he resisted the urge to do some kind of dream-flight-assisted dismount off the handle, and stared still enough to let himself get spoon-fed unsettling bullshit about inter-dimensional pseudo-physics by assorted nether-horrors.

Hell, at least his real body was getting some decent fucking rest for once. If it wasn't freezing its ass off, that is; he'd left it at the lip of the Forge, and from his current temporal perspective it doesn't get lit proper for another few hours. Probably should'a gotten conked out somewhere a little more cozy. Oh well.

Shit was low-pressure for a couple of hours, or as low-pressure as being at the epicenter of his own personal holocaust of groping hell-coaches could possibly be considered. That's when he stopped seeing the sky and realized he was looking straight at some malevolent fucking sky-god's cruel idea of a joke.

Wait, how is Cal not dead. And what the fuck is Jack doing wearing Bro's shades?!

As Dave puzzled through the ridiculous image standing in the space in front of him - and Jack lifted his ring-hand to turn him into green Dave-paste - neither had noticed that a big Saint-Patrick's-Day-Kamehameha was heading in from stage right. Jack was blindsided.

Dave was finally shaken from his reverie, and turned to watch Jack - tossing away shattered anime shades and a broken puppet - preparing to duke it out with another carapace wearing the White Queen's ring. So that's where they started fighting; guess I'm on a time limit. They duked it out for eighty alpha-minutes, so I have to- He was interrupted by the tortured screams of his horror-instructors, telling him to pay attention in class Junior. Might as well get to it.

As the map gradually worked its way together, Dave had put two and two together in the back of his mind. He had tons of spare shades, but Bro was the only one who'd stitch together that fucking puppet. So, he's gone. Dave had just never seen Jack in the narrow window of time he'd had the things; hell, he must have killed Bro post-prototyping without giving him a fucking chance. 'Least Bro deserved was a proper duel. Fucking bastard.

He fought through the pain and kept working on Rose's goddamn suicide-map. Heh, and I thought I'd at least get some fucking rest.

Despite the ominous echoes of green light around him from the battle raging through the Incipisphere, progress sped up. Eventually, the map came together completely; it burned unbreakably in his mind, like the rhythm, lyrics, and optimal scratch-points of Snoop Dogg's "Step Yo Game Up". Finally, and with not a minute to fuckin' spare. Now to get me and dream Rose somewhere safe before that goddamned black-and-green asshole comes back and-

The map still blazed in his mind. He still had it. But his dreamself was dead. And Rose's was… Fuck. Okay, time for weird time shit. Didn't save myself because I remember dying, but I can still hop into Rose's tower and...

Hold just a fucking Dave-minute.

You'd think Rose woulda mentioned this shit before you went to sleep. You spent plenty of time doing Server stuff for her a couple Dave-days ago, and she's not enough of a bitch to leave you to something like that without some warning. And then there was that weird space-spell bullshit she did at the end, saying she was keeping her normal body 'safe' while she did her bomb-run...

"Oh, hell no."

Rose knew her dreamself had died, hadn't told him. She'd gone on her mission alone.

"No, no, NO! Fuck no!"

He could withhold the map from her, but he'd cave eventually. It was already in the alpha timeline. She was gone, like Bro. Not yet, chronologically... but gone.

Dave slammed his fist into the melting ground. Nobody else would notice a few more drops of moisture, there.


He ignored the conclusion of the duel raging above him. A slice. A ring severed from a hero, falling down into the Forge. He didn't notice. Neither did anyone else.

And nobody noticed the tall, colorful, and unquestionably stylish outstretched hat that caught the ring before it hit the lava.

I should probably have run this by someone before posting, but Pesterchum was acting up. Oh well.

The map still blazed in his mind. He still had it. But his dreamself was dead. And Rose's was… Fuck. Okay, time for weird time shit. Didn't save myself because I remember dying, but I can still hop into Rose's tower and...

Hold just a fucking Dave-minute.

You'd think Rose woulda mentioned this shit before you went to sleep. You spent plenty of time doing Server stuff for her a couple Dave-days ago, and she's not enough of a bitch to leave you to something like that without some warning. And then there was that weird space-spell bullshit she did at the end, saying she was keeping her normal body 'safe' while she did her bomb-run...

"Oh, hell no."

Rose knew her dreamself had died, hadn't told him. She'd gone on her mission alone.

"No, no, NO! Fuck no!"

He could withhold the map from her, but he'd cave eventually. It was already in the alpha timeline. She was gone, like Bro. Not yet, chronologically... but gone.

Dave slammed his fist into the melting ground. Nobody else would notice a few more drops of moisture, there.

He ignored the conclusion of the duel raging above him. A slice. A ring severed from a hero, falling down into the Forge. He didn't notice. Neither did anyone else.

And nobody noticed the tall, colorful, and unquestionably stylish outstretched hat that caught the ring before it hit the lava.

I am loving this. Go CD, save the day! This whole fic is so unexpected, from the central character to the plot, and I'm really really looking forward to the following chapters.
