Well of course!

To one side of the CASTLE is a dark and slightly scary forest. Most people don't like to go near it because they think MONSTERS live there, but of course this was no problem at all for a POWERFUL WARRIOR like yourself.

To the other side is a BLASTED WASTELAND and some MOUNTAINS. Most people don't really like going there either.

You walk up to the GATE and show the GUARD the letter you received. He lets you into the CASTLE and you quickly navigate into the KING's throne room.

He is already waiting for you.

"Greetings, your majesty. You sent me a letter-"
"Yes yes I know. You are a Powerful Warrior from the city on the other side of Dark Forest. I called you here because I need your help."
"What could I possibly do that you yourself could not, sir?"
"Apparently some Monstrous Beast has been coming from the Barren Wastelands and terrorizing my citizens. I need you to kill it."
"...Pardon my insolence sir, but why can't you do that yourself?"
"I'm afraid that's not something I can discuss with you at the moment. All you need to know is that the Cave is somewhere between Ruby Peak and the Black Spire."
"...Very well then sir."
"Any last questions?"

Shake no and leave, since you know that he's clearly evil and this 'Beast' is in fact either a good guy or a rival.

If this beast is so powerful that even the king himself, who is obviously a complete badass, cannot defeat it, you're going to need some powerful teammates. Go find a powerful wizard and punch them in the snout to establish your superiority.

Following the KING's directions, you go see the ROYAL ARMOURER. He asks what sort equipment you require.

First of all I'd like to apologize for stopping so suddenly. Some...personal matters came up and I have been feeling quite depressed recently. But I decided I still did really want to do this adventure, so...I'm back now.

Ask him what materials he has that he can make armour out of for you. Then buy a full suit of the most espensive material.

The ROYAL ARMOURER tells you the prices for full suits of armour.
Cloth: 75 Bronze Pieces
Leather: 20 Silver Pieces
Iron: 85 Silver Pieces
Fancy Iron: 100 Silver Pieces
Diamond: 1000 Gold Pieces

That would be the Piercing Light Giantblade. Absolutely free, if you can wield it.

The ROYAL ARMOURER points out that the more spikes, the heavier and unwieldlyer the helmet becomes. He offers you a SKYROCK HELM as a compromise. 100 Gold Pieces.
