Lord English: Good, now we only have to deal with Sollux and we will have covered our tracks.

I also noticed that Sollux is kind of the only non-blueblood cop (if you ignore the fact that aradia was red before becoming robocop and don't count detective eridan etc) Not really important but somewhat interesting, I suppose.

Troll-on-Troll discrimination. There also seems to be very few, if any Humans, Carapaces or Consorts on the force.

I think someone mentioned a illegal wizard lizard cult before? That should totally be a thing. Or they could also deal drugs from under their shady robes.

Tonight on P.A.P. we go on night patrol with Officers Sollux Captor and Terezi Pyrope.
Time - 6:12 pm; 4/13/25
-In Pyrope and Captor's squad car.
SC: Do you have to thtiick that thiing in my fathe?
It'th really damned annoyiing when you *censor beep*-th follow uth around.

As the two start to argue, the radio blares to live.
Dispatch: Hey 8oys! We've got a perp down 8y the P8nt Jo8 in the Narrows commiting a 311.
Could any of you lazy 8ums go deal with th8t? Or do I have to do everything around here like usual?
Pyrope grabs the radio and responds to Dispatch
TP: W3'v3 got 1t Ms. Sp1der*censor beep* H3H3H3H3H3H3H3H3
Dispatch: You c8n shut the *very long censor beep* up Mrs No-see!

SC: Let'th get thiith thhow on the road!

The officers and crew speed off towards the Narrows. When they arrive at the scene of the disturbance, they find what seems to be a Salamander screaming at random passersby. Three other police are there.
Perp: You shall behold my robes!
Detective Pyrope gets out of the squad car and calls over Officer Zahhak.
TP: 4noth3r S3cr3t W1z4rd? How m4ny of thos3 cult1sts h4v3 w3 s33n th1s w33k?
SC: *censor beep* if I know. Thothe guyth have been popping up all over the thity for weekth.
SW: Behold my robes!
TP: Blu3b3rry! Wh4t's go1ng on h3r3?
EZ: D--> I wish you would refrain from referring to me as a 'blueberry', ma'am.
D--> Especially when you have that camera crew following you around.
D--> It's just improper and 100d.

EZ: D--> It appears that this consort left his proper area of the city and has ended up in front this place of ill-repute.

D--> And then he started requesting anyone and everyone who passed by to "Behold his robes".

SW: You all shall behold my robes!
SC: Thothe poor *incredibly long censor beep*
Officer Zahhak just stares at Officer Captor as a large puddle of what appears to be water forms at his feet.
EZ: D--> Such 1ood behavior....ine%usable...
Pyrope and Captor ignore the sweaty Zahhak and walk up to the Salamander dressed in what appears to be a bedsheet.
The salamander continues to scream out his requests for observation while opening and closing his robes.
SC: Hey thhiithead, you coming wiith uth.
SW: Will you behold my robes? Yes or no?
SC: Yeth, II'm beholding you robeth! Now come wiith uth, pleathe.
SW: You have beheld the robes the secret wizards!
The Salamander reaches up underneath his garments. All of the officers dive for cover as it pulls out a large weapon of some sort.
SW: Now behold this!
The Salamander opens up with the automatic weapon and sprays bullets at the police.
The camera view suddenly shutters and fuzzes for a bit as it falls to the ground.
The salamander is still in view, blazing away at the police.
SW: Behold my gun! Behold it!
The gunfire is stopped when Officer Aradia Megido walks up to the salamander and hits it. Hard.
SC: Where wath that thiing hiidden? IIt'th biigger than he wath.
Officer Captor and Zahhak survey the scene. Zahhak picks up what appears to be a M249 LMG.
Officer Pyrope enters the view as she kneels down in front the camera with her usual manic grin.
TP: Ch3rry Syrup...
H3y Sollux! Looks l1k3 w3 lost 4noth3r on3 of thos3 P4P c4m3r4 cr3ws.

Later on P.A.P, we follow Officer Sekret for a night with the dispatch
Officer Vriska Sekret spins around at her desk as the camera crew enters the room.
VS: Wh8t are you doing here!? This is MY area!
She raises her hands to her forehead just before the picture breaks up.

That was silly and stupid. But I like the idea of a COPS style show following the APD around occasionally.

The Judge slammed his gavel down hard on his podium; it shook the very foundations of the court. AR sat for a moment patiently as whispering subsided. “Today we find ourselves in court once again, now don’t we Mr. Makara?” He glared coldly at the defendant.

Gamzee smiled like an idiot, he didn’t have a care in the world right now. He just nodded and replied, “JuSt CaUsE i Am BaCk HeRe DoN’t MeAn I dId AnYtHiNg WrOnG, i Am InNoCeNt MoThErFuCkEr.”

The people watching the events unfold began to whisper amongst each other again, gasps were shared, and theories rose. AR slammed his gavel down furiously, “Order! Order! Will you all just shut up! I WILL blow this place to kingdom come!” Of course he was not speaking literally, but his temper was not one to be trifled with.

“Ahem.” He sighed, “Would the prosecution like to present their evidence?”

Doc Scratch stood up and opened his suitcase; he held in his hand multiple photos of the alleged crime. “Your honor, I have seen this hooligan at work on many occasions,” He began to pass out the photos to the jury, “If you will notice, each one has him pilfering a food item of sorts that is not his own. Or to be straighter forward, stealing.”

Karkat and Nepeta were sitting in the audience, watching the events transpire. Karkat felt guilty for this, he wanted to rise up and shout how it was all his doing. At the same time however, he wanted to know who had paid for their attorney. Nepeta hadn’t questioned it, Gamzee called it a miracle, but Karkat suspected someone behind it. He watched the audience but saw no one who could fit the bill of what he expected.

“Now if we look closely, we can see this street rat also has friends, whom, if I am not mistaken. Are in this very court room.” He looks back at Karkat and Nepeta.

They gulp nervously, but then the Hired Attorney slams his fist on the table and shouts, “Your honor this is about my client! If he wishes to accuse those poor children of crimes he can wait until he has substantial evidence other than images and stories that can be taken entirely out of context!”

AR looked at Hired Attorney, then at Doc Scratch. Both of them had valid points. On one hand he could arrest three homeless urchins who rob and pilfer, but at the same time he would be bypassing the law. Then it occurs to him, ‘bypassing the law’ is not what he is for, he slams the gavel down, “Your statements shall be ignored Doc Scratch, accuse the defendant, not his friends.”

Doc Scratch could tell he was on thin ice with the judge, he sat back down calmly, “That is all the evidence I have to show.” He had more, but he felt that if his opponent worded it right, he could make these seem substantial as well.

AR looked at Hired Attorney, “Alright, defense, you’re up next.”

He stood up and bowed, “Thank you judge.” Hired Attorney opened up his own briefcase and pulled out images of his own, “let me tell you a story, of three homeless children, who have been given no chance for survival in this world.” He hoists the pictures on a stand for all to see. “Some people call their lives torture, or a nightmare, but you look at this and tell me that you have truly felt this way.” A picture shows the trio huddled together for warmth in a snow covered alleyway. “Do any of us really know…” He shows yet another image, of a trash can lid covered with rotting food and scraps, “..what it means…” An image of the trio trying to strain dirty water free of any solids to make it decent drinking water, “…to suffer?”

AR tries not to shed a tear and looks at the jury as they also hold back the waterworks. AR notices the other two in the back, and how Nepeta is already sobbing on Karkat’s shoulder, it was only when we saw our life compared to another that we really knew how well we had our own. AR weakly hit his gavel on the podium, “Jury…how do you find the defendant…” He sniffled, he believe he knew the answer.

And in a chorus of voices they spoke out, “Not guilty.”

Gamzee smiled and hugged his attorney, who begrudgingly returned the hug. He rushed back to his friends and smiled, “FuCkInG mIrAcLeS yOu GuYs.” He chuckled happily. Nepeta wiped away her tears, “Yeah, it was a miracle…wasn’t it?” She smiles weakly. Karkat looks at a man in the corner, staring at them with a suspicious grin. He mutters to himself, and the trio leaves the court. Karkat had a gut feeling that he would see this man again.

I kinda figure the setting should be a nice mix of serious and silly.
The mundane, day-to-day stuff involving the Karkitty Gang and the APD should be silly. But the overarching plot involving the machinations of Mr. Pupa, the Midnight Crew, the other criminal organizations and the Secret Power Behind The Mayor are probably all serious.

Also, nice court drama...now excuse me, I'm gonna join the jury in the horn pile.

Man this reminds me a lot of how me and my friends played a text based crime MMORPG as Homestuck characters. Maybe I'll try contributing to this at some point.

Just a note...

The person who runs the homeless shelter has a soft spot for Karkat and Gang. Since they're children and always sign up on the waiting list early, they always just HAPPEN to get a slot right before the first predicted snowfall that runs out right after the thaw. She can't do much, since the shelter is always SO FULL, but she can do this. She miscalculated last time, and Karkat, Nepeta, and Gamzee almost died and got picked up by Mr. Pupa. She is now worried to death over the fact that she hasn't seen them, and is trying to find out any information.

Her name is Feferi Peixes, and the many times she's talked to them in the shelter, they were under the impression that she, too, was homeless.

The shelter was crowded, as always, a bustle of of people set to a chorus of coughs and sniffles. A small 12th Perigee’s Eve tree was in the corner of the communual sleeping room, and tinny carols played over the speakers. Karkat picked his way through the crowd to the bed where Nepeta and Gamzee were napping. He set down the two small presents he was carrying and shook them awake.

“HEY, SLEEPYHEADS, WAKE UP. TIME FOR PRESENTS.”

Nepeta woke up first, yawning and rubbing her eyes. She sat up, peering at Karkat.

“:oo < oh karkitty, i got purresents too!”

She pulled two wrinked sheets of paper from her jacket, and moved to hand one to Karkat, but he stopped her.

“GAMZEE HAS TO BE AWAKE FIRST.”

“’M aWaKe, I’m AwAkE…”

“WHO WANTS TO GIVE THEIR PRESENTS FIRST?”

“Me!”

Gamzee reached under the bed and pulled out three packages. Each one had one of their names on it.

“I dIdN’t KnOw WhAt To GeT yOu ThEn I fOuNd ThIs. MoThErFuCkInG mIrAcLeS!”

Nepeta dug enthusiatically into her package, revealing a brand new set of clothes, identical to the ones she was wearing but in much better condition. Karkat and Gamzee’s packages yielded similar results.

“WHAT THE FUCK…?”

“It’S lIkE i SaY eVeRy YeAr, MaN, mIrAcLeS.”

“x33 < can i give out my purresents now?”

Without waiting for a reply, Nepeta handed a piece of paper to each of the boys. She’d been working all day on her drawings of them, and thought she did a purrfect job!

“WhAt A mIrAcLe…”

“IT’S GREAT, NEPETA. I’LL TREASURE IT.”

“x33 < your turn, karkitty!”

Karkat grinned and handed Nepeta and Gamzee their presents. He’d been working overtime at the Totally Legitamate Business Club as a message runner to afford these, and he couldn’t wait to see the look on their faces as they opened them.

He didn’t have to wait.

“xDD < oh karkitty! it’s a kitty doll! i love it! oh my gog, it has a collar with my name on it!”

Feferi watched as the masked boy snuck up behind the unsuspecting green man. He was fast, dashing in between cover quicker than fef thought possible. He managed sneak up unnoticed on the blue hatted criminal, standing right behind him sword raised without so much as raising the slightest of alarms! Fef was obviously watching the very best.
He stood there for a moment, sword raised, probably pausing for dramatic tension. Ooooo fef couldnt handle the suspense!
He lowered his sword and turned around, an annoyed sour look on his face, as he motioned for fef to come over

So hey I finally stopped lurking the forums.
This thread is great and everything about it is wonderful.

I have crappy ideas! so... yeah!

1. Sweet Bro N' Hella Jeff could be some drug dealers on the street or something. they'd go up to everyone they see coming past in the alleyway and babble on with a bunch of stupid stuff and all that. or maybe a better idea from someone else in here!

I'm still getting used to my laptop mouse and stuff and I'm gonna buy a mouse what I can plug in but here have a silly drawing of Jeff finding Gamzee looking through the trash or something.


2. Maybe Dave has decided to go as "Crow Bro/Boy" from now on because He's avenging his brothers death or something.

3. Pickle Inspector walks by one day and see's the little Kitty and clown helping their sick friend in the alley. being the kind guy he is, he feels sorry for them and decides to do something for them, like putting food nearby while they are sleeping or something. but due to Karkat being all BLUH BLUH NO WAY ITS A TRAP or another thing like that, he forbids them from eating it. then again Nepeta and Gamzee are starving so they do it anyway. WHO KNOWS!

my ideas are silly but hey if these are good, Somebody do something better with them since I'm just stuck with Ms.Paint and no tablet with a stupid brain.
But I can possibly write fanfiction or something.
