Previous meetups have been in Ann Arbor in February and Detroit in September!
Upcoming planned meetups are the following:

Original OP under spoiler:
This thread is for planning and generating interest for a Michigan Homestuck Meetup. It will probably be held this January or Febuary somewhere in Ann Arbor. Of course, both of these are subject to change. Post here if you're interested.
EDITS: Contact me on skype if you want to help with the planning. Search Zigkirby / zeugmatographicKrukolibidinous
Location: Ann Arbor; Pinball Pete's (1214 S University Ave, Ann Arbor, Michigan) Date: Saturday, Feburary 5th Time: Starting at NOON Events: Hanging out in the Arcade until the group wants to move on. There's tons to do in Ann Arbor, comic shops, music stores, hipster cafes, the variety of interesting things to do is boundless.
Requests:
Bring your own money! Seriously like a twenty at least.
This is a Homestuck themed meetup, so come in homestuck themed attire. No need to cosplay, but see if you can swing a MSPA shirt.
TELL YOUR FRIENDS!
Contact me on skype or through PM if you are 100% confirmed on coming. I'd like to plan for secondary events based on population.
On behalf of Michigan's southern neighbor Ohio, I don't know why you'd pick that place for such a meeting. But I'm sure it'd be awesome, if not a little awkward like all community gatherings.

MLK weekend?
Perfect. I seriously cannot think of a better way to honor Martin Luther King Jr.'s sacrifice than spending a full day discussing a story about four kids playing a video game to save the Earth, and also Nicholas Cage. I'm not even kidding that sounds sweet.

There are several reasons I'm favoring Ann Arbor.
1) I'm from Detroit myself, and it's not far away from the densest population centers.
2) Since it's NOT in my immediate area, it's not in a corner of the state. Ann Arbor, while still very much South-Eastern Michigan is at least more central and accessible than anywhere near me.
3) Ann Arbor is a college town filled with hipsters, and thus, and plenty of neat things to do and places to go.
4) (Fuck Ohio and your traffic. Love Detroit)
Anyway, the location IS subject to change if there's a better alternative.

Yes, they've already told me as much on 4chan... unless you're reffering to little girls I havn't talked to yet, in which case I may have to can this whole thing before it becomes a fucking creepfest. Alternatively I can bring muscle to protect the lolis from the strange older men with the neckbeards who will no doubt come.

There will be, most likely a month in advance. I'm just raising interest at the moment so I can plan accordingly. I don't want to plan on chilling in a cafe if we'd have to cram 30 people into it.

I think we mean the same little girls. And, yes, protecting the lolis is of utmost importance.
Edit:
I should remember to shave before this, not that I don't do it practically every few hours.
I don't have any business being here, but Zig threatened to post details about my personal life if I did. I am totes calling his bluff now.
Also, as regards community meetups and awkwardness, I highly rec. people bring a little cash to go out to eat, or at least have someone bring a portable music-playing-device with speakers. A little music, or looking up dumb videos on youtube (John Hodgeman's Hobo Matters, f'rex,), goes a long ways to breaking the nice.
That entire last paragraph was made so that I felt like I was contributing content to this post.

Yes. Bringing money will defiantly be on the list of things people need to do to participate.

Reason: HOO HOO HOO. What now, Zig?
No. You don't understand. Why is I-75 always under construction in Ohio? WHY? WHYYY?
I-75 is the worst. Not only does it go through the industrial area of Cincinnati, my mother and I once got stuck in traffic for 3 or 4 hours getting to Dayton (which is a little over an hour away).
However, if you ride 75 to Lexington in Kentucky, it's a really nice, pretty drive.
Yes, as much as I'd like this thread to devolve into riffing the great lakes area, I'm going to confirm the location as Ann Arbor unless someone wants to contact me and convince me otherwise in the next few days. The meet-up will likely start at an arcade there called Pinball Pete's, but again, subject to change if anyone has better ideas. Still looking into the logistics behind all this.
