We'll all have to make some plan that's for sure, but I have no clue what my schedule will be for this summer and a tuesday may be a bit crazy.

Was curious if the meet up at the end of May was going to happen or not and at what place. We're in May now I just wanted to plan ahead so I wont miss it or so I dont make plans.

It is totally going to happen. I just haven't been able to focus on the planning for it because of school, school work, and the stress of school that I would generally need to recover from. The Semester is now all but over though, so I can see about finally figuring things out for that. That said, I should have something posted by the end of the week.

Speaking of, I know virtually nothing about the Westland area, and am at a loss for possible places. I am willing to entertain any ideas that anyone has. All that I ask is that places that are suggested are close to Smart Bus Routes so that I can get to and from on my own if need be instead of having to burden someone else with the expectation of help with transportation.

Well, The place I had said before would be good. Theres also a park that down the road from me which would also be good. Its big plus as outside bathrooms. It has tables and a roof outside over em. plus a playground. Down the road is a pizza place too so if anyone gets hungry. Then another idea would be the Westland Mall. Would you like to post or email you or something both locations? As in street names and anything else you would need.

Detailed addresses would be awesome. If I have that much I can figure things out on google maps and cross reference that with Smart Bus routes. Westland Mall was something I had thought of, but I discarded the idea since it basically revolves on the idea that there may or may not be shopping done, and not everyone is going to have the cash for that. There's also the possibility that security won't take too kindly to a bunch of people who may or may not be in Cosplay loitering around, and I don't know the area, much less know of any specific part of the mall that we could try to be in where it would be out of the way enough.

And while we are on the subject of malls, who would be up for a Saturday meetup at Fairlane Mall in Dearborn sometime between June and August? They have a nice food court area where we can all sit and chill, maybe grab a few things to eat if we're hungry, and if we wanted to go outside for a bit there is plenty of grassy areas near the mall where we could lounge around if the weather is good.

Okay, I MIGHT be able to make that one on my own. Thing is there is no Van Born route for the Smart Buses, but the Michigan route SHOULD be able to get me close enough to there to walk the rest of the way, as long as the walking distance is equivalent of Schaffer to Evergreen. I am personally hoping that it will be shorter, but whatever happens happens.

So if nobody has any objections, our next meetup will be at the suggested park on the last Saturday of May, and the next meetup I organize may be sometime late June to Early August, depending on when other meetups are scheduled by other people and all that.

Nah, I can probably make it, although if you guys wanted to drop me at the stop after the meetup so that I wouldn't have to walk all the way back to it that would be great. I only have so much walking distance in me, and I generally have no idea whether it's chaffing or joint soreness that will decide it first at any given point in time.

As for a meeting place..In the park they have picnic tables outside with a roof over em. That would be a good place so others can sit and chill in the shade while waiting.

Now as to a schedule (as if one was really needed), I have some ideas on that, although it would really be more as to loose guidelines to follow or not as you like, and I really don't have anything specifically set in stone yet, so any feedback I can get would be appreciated since I would like to have the whole thing posted this week if possible.

Thus far what I have in mind are as follows.
board/card games, impromptu larping, collaborative story telling.
Homestuck discussion, character voice impersonations.
Dance rave with possible livestream broadcasting.

I also have yet to decide whether eleven would be too early or not. I was thinking either that or twelve could be the time for people to show up by. Obviously the first hour would be the Mix & Mingle while you wait period so that any late comers have a chance to show up prior to the actual start of things. The last hour is obviously clean-up, the construction of can town, the election of the mayor, and the mayor choosing a set number of cabinet members. The cabinet members and Mayor would then be in the foreground of can town with the mayor obviously wearing a mayoral sash, and the rest of us as the residents of can town would be in the background.

but anyway, that's what I have thus far, and I am open to ideas about actual scheduling.

Good for a meme, but not for a start time. Unless someone decided to volunteer house space for late/overnight shenanigans, but I don't see that happening. Needless to say if I had the house space, I would volunteer mine for any and every meetup that I was organizing in the area, but I don't have that luxury, and I'm pretty sure that I am not the only one who wants to have the meetup be for more than a couple of hours, particularly those who might be traveling from more than a half an hour away or some such.
