Alright, so unfortunately I won't be able to make it to the meet at Marvin's. The place is 5 mins away from me but it happens to be the very day my family's leaving for a trip...

That would be most cool. I'll start digging around and see if there are any neat places to hang out and stuff. You're talking in Lansing, right?

I'm looking forward to seeing how this meet will shape up. lol If you guys want, once we got this all planned out and stuff, we can post the thing here, those of us with tumblrs can blog about it, We can make a FB Page about it and invite all sorts of people, and I can send a copy to a friend of mine that runs a meetup blog on tumblr so that she can have it posted there as well.

I'm new to the HS meetups. I only went to one where a few of us got together to see the Avengers. So, I don't know who plans that stuff as far as cons.

I would definitely be interested in a meetup/group gathering at Youmacon! My friend went last year and although she's not a homestuck fan she mentioned to me that she saw tons of cosplayers so I'm sure people would go for it.

Also this just a thought right now but do you think anyone would be interested in having a meetup somewhere around Lake Michigan and we could all go to the beach and just hang out and have fun, maybe even camp out? I'm sorta just trying to gauge interest but if someone wants to jump in with some ideas that would be cool too!

Same, I went to Youmacon last year and it was a blast. I'd totally be down for something happening this year.

Yeah I thought it would be cool to make a weekend of it, but maybe the overnight thing would be difficult for some people. We could always set it up so we could hang out all day and then have a bonfire or something, and if anyone wanted to stay overnight they could. I don't know of any good specific locations either so if this was really going to happen I'd have to ask around first.

Also I am not sure if this is the right place to be asking or not but is anyone driving from Michigan to Baltimore for Otakon by any chance? I could really use some cheap transportation (as in, cheaper than a round-trip airline ticket!). I can definitely pay my share and even help drive part of the way if you'd like.
