Gosh, I forgot these existed. Back in August I was introducing myself to color theory and stuff by using a couple tutorials (mostly one, actually).




In general I'm going to try to only post new stuff, but I actually quite liked these. Especially considering it was one of my first attempts at this sort of coloring. Also, in case it wasn't obvious, I was using contrasting colors for lighting and shading. It was especially difficult when I did the red/green contrast (second picture) since they're both such strong colors.

Holy bullocks, I like your style! Only thing I can point out is in the picture with you and your bear hands, your bent leg seems to bend inwards, making it look a tad weird. But aside from that, very good stuff, broette!

Anyways! Although I wanted to do something supermegaawesome for my 413th post (and thus have been postponing posting in the forums), I miss the community here and want to be a part of it again. So, you guys will be getting my art dump from when I was up cabining. I figure this is a reasonable enough post for 413 since I succeeded in 1) drawing everyday for multiple weeks and 2) getting familiar with my copic markers. So enjoy!

I, too, think axolotls are cute and often draw a girl with bear arms and short brown hair. High five!
The angel picture is really neat and I admire your ability to draw humans, but what really stands out is the wing. It seems that you didn't take the time to see what real feathered wings look like - you've got the basic joints down, but not the feathers. Now I'm sitting here trying to imagine what that wing would look like if it spread out, and I'd imagine it'd look quite odd.
Nevertheless, keep up the good work!

Super Glue (I used a gel, though it shouldn't really make a difference)
