Dang, you're going down!
Quick! Where are you going to crash?
Looks like your options are MOUNTAINS and MORE MOUNTAINS.
the pool of water to the left(?)
You shout for the helmsman to steer toward that small body of water in the seconds before impact.
BLAM!
Your ship has crashed.
A quick damage assessment reveals that the ship's power plant is completely inoperable. Most of the supplies and all of the vehicles were burned up in an uncontrolled discharge from the power core before it went completely inoperable. Seventy-five colonists and crewmen have been killed, leaving only one hundred twelve.
The survivors look to you, captain, for guidance.
>Have the survivors move to the clearing up the hill to the east with supplies/collect water on the way
" quick, you 54, go gather some water from that lake we crashed over, you 50 go gather some wood from those trees and see what type's of ore this moantain has and you last 8 get to work trying to repair the ship with whatever we have and whatever the others gather! know go and we may be able to get out of this mess alive!"
Is the ship lodged well enough into the mountain to safely use for shelter? If not,
> gather any materials you can from the ship and set up camp in the nice little spot to the east of the pool.
It seems to be lodged pretty solidly. For the moment, anyway.
You send a squad to collect water and start heading east.
Having never seen a body of water larger than a wash basin before, six of your colonists drown immediately. The survivors decide to use some spare fuel hosing to collect water for the ship without having to swim in the lethal stuff.
They also find a length of coil, which they are able to attach to one of the tall native trees to move relatively safely between the ship and the land. The colonists begin cutting down a tree for lumber.
In the ship, you direct a handful of colonists to repair what they can. They report that they think they can salvage the auxiliary power generator, which should be enough to get the ship's computer up and running--and possibly run diagnostics.
>Send a few colonists to move those rocks east of the clearing. Check for a cave.
> Inventory the remaining supplies on the ship.
See if you can't find a way to safely fish out those corpses.
The ship's auxiliary power is now online. The computer is running a full diagnostic of the surviving systems. The ship's library is available.
The colonists successfully harvest one of the tall trees, stocking your ship with two lumber units.
The ship's computer activates, informing you that you can use these resources in conjunction with the ship's resource processors and the schematics in its library to produce and train more specialized units for the colony.
The colonists start moving the loose boulders. They will be moved next turn.
Using the water hose to keep from drowning, one of your more athletic citizens is able to fish out most of the corpses from the pond. What do you want to do with them?
The ship has the following undamaged supplies.
Food:
533 freeze dried rations
Drink:
1000 liters water
1 bottle Terran bourbon
Access to mountain pond

5 Lengths of cable

> Use mining kit on mountainside to produce 1 stone. Use it in conjunction with your 2 lumber and 2 citizens to create a Mole Miner.
>Use a couple emergency flares. Perhaps there are others here.
> Run a briefing in order to stop colonists getting themselves killed in stupid ways like in your third image.
Can't draw. Can't plot. Can bullshiz a little.

Tvtropes Migrant. be advised.

I am forced to use the greatest surgical instrument of all: insanity!
Turn corpses into new food rations
Fish out final dead colonist. It only takes a small amount of decay to cause cholera....
>gather stone from mountain.
Your citizens finish clearing the stones from the bottom of the mountain east of the ship. They tote the stone back to the ship for processing. You gain two Stone Units.
Clearing the stone has revealed that there is indeed a cave system under this mountain.
You use one of the stone units gathered from the mountainside along with two lumber units to start building a mole miner from the schematics in the ship's library. You reprogram the brains of two citizens to operate the strange vehicle.
It will be ready next turn. Perhaps We should investigate ways to get the mole miner safely from the downed ship to the planet's surface.
You climb out onto the top of the ship and fire a couple emergency flare out of the mountain valley.
Even if you attract the attention of those brigands that shot down your craft, it might be preferable to starving to death, exposed to the elements.
You start systematically using the brain reprogrammer to train citizens how to swim. Your athletic citizen is able to finally retrieve the last corpse from the pond.
The ship's cook balks at the idea, but obeys as best she can.

One of your citizens suggests that you start naming the landmarks around the crashsite. Doesn't that sound like a swell idea?
>capture animals.
I think if we are to survive here long-term we need to cultivate the land. It might also be a good idea to start rationing food.
Are any of the trees nearby fruit-bearing? Do you see anything you might be able to eat?
As for names:

I vote we stick a hat or something on the athletic dude so we can spot him easily. Dude's our biggest asset right now, it seems like.
I second the suggestions of Leibowitz and Schazer. Also, the mountain with the mine will be Mt. Spire.
