It might be done by march but even then, the chances of you getting it on time for the con are very slim.
I hope to get it in time for one of my cons
    We will see..

Alpha just a suggestion do you want to cut off sign ups at a certain number? (unless you get more than one coat)
Even if everyone only keeps it for a week this could easily go on for several months

Probably a good idea. What would be a good time for its journey to end... Maybe late July or August? Before summer break ends, I'd say.

well the red bunny has spent six months traveling between only fifteen people

this could work if participants just wear it for a day or two, add their patch, write their letter, and send it off
the point is to get as many people pictured in the coat as possible so extended adventures aren't really necessary

    Re: EVERYONE is Lord English!

That would be a good idea
I'm counting about 17 people interested, so lets make the cut off 20 to 25 fully available people signed up. The very farthest I will go is 30.

some of the people I counted weren't sure, If you are one of those people and reading this, let us know ASAP if you can do this or not or I'm giving away the spots.

This doesn't mean only 25 people will be getting it, as I'm not counting the start and end spots, any one with friends who are right within vicinity of each other, and apparently the entire area of Boston can totally play. I just wont count them as more than one person unless shipping the coat occurs.
So as of now, the coat will be shipped about 19 times.
    I'll attempt map composure today.

EDIT: since this is going to be a one-time thing, and not like the bunnies in terms of number or expense, I think 30 should be the regular cap
    Sorry for being indecisive.
I don't want to exclude people, but the coat cannot travel forever

    I made the map.
    the OP is updated.
It is in order of people on this thread as they entered, more or less.
I will be trying to figure out the closest distances and reorganizing it so we have an idea of where it is going, but I want to wait a bit for some more people before I start using the line tool

What luck, I just obtained a square of fabric and have been looking for something to use it on. Sign me up, Council Bluffs, Iowa.

    it has been updated.
Zaffa is free of the shout pole that haunted the info box as a reminder to me that there was no clear word of participation.
    Turin is in.
I want to make sure the map is viewable by others, would someone inform me if it is?

    Re: EVERYONE is Lord English!

So, what's everyone planning to do with the coat once you get your grubby paws on it? Any specific place you're planning on wearing it? Do you have a clear idea of what you want to add already or nothing yet?

For me it depends on when I'd have the coat. I hope I get it during a weekend, because that's when I'm at the address I'll specify (the other address where I reside is trickier and I'm afraid the coat would get lost if I had it sent there). Of course, I can easily send it from that address, so if it's at the right time of year and the weather's good enough (wouldn't want to drag the thing through puddles and muck) I hope to be able to wear it to uni. If not, I might just find an excuse to go out in the city and gloat.

One question, what about vacations? Right now it's impossible to make a clear estimation of when the coat will be where and it will almost certainly not arrive on the exact specified date. Suppose I'm out of the country for two weeks around that time? It would suck if everyone had to wait for that.

let us know about vacation plans before the person who is to send it to you gets it, or at least as he or she has it.

I'm going to add a dark blue patch with a silver spiral on it - my personal symbol, really - and then I'm going to wear it to either the Boston Public Library or to MIT's science fiction library.

I plan on attempting to make a SBaHJ patch, probably through iron on paper applied to a square of fabric.
Iron on patterns are usually low quality, so I guess it will fit the effect of the series

i prefer to keep my plans mysterious

(hare force one rules that additions should be a surprise for the person next in line)

    oh shoot, good idea.
I guess that dumps that attempt at keeping this thread alive for the time left before the coat is finished

    Re: EVERYONE is Skipper Plumbthroat!

I really love this idea, I mean really. I probably won't be able to take part, given I live at exactly the wrong end of everywhere, but I wholeheartedly support this anyway. Will it have the rainbow coloured bit (not changing colours of course) and the ridiculous oversized-ness? It will be awesome if it doesn't, but you get points for story consistency added on.
    What will you do?

Nice! Fair odds that some people should get the reference there, too.

It think it will have the rainbow collar band thing, but if it doesn't maybe I will just apply it myself.
I may have heard that it won't have it so others could mod it themselves, which is cool too I suppose.
If everyone adds a square of fabric around the collar and down the body it would have the collar by the time it reaches hussie no doubt.

This is pretty much the greatest thing ever. I'm seriously considering joining up... You can put me down in Canton, NY if you like (my college town).
Could we possibly get a picture of the coat sans patches so we know what it looks like?
