I'm still getting the hang of animating them and changing them for different moods, but I draw the character a few times before I try, to get a feel for their posture, facial shape, etc. o3o

Naw, I've been using a tablet for a long time. 7-8 years, maybe. I don't remember. I used to use a mouse, but there's no way I could, now.
