    Also, I know this probably isn't going to happen because it's hard and a lot of people probably wouldn't use it...
    But it'd be awesome if there was a mode where you could use talksprites as well during conversation.
    So, you could set specific talksprites to some moods, or something, and each new message you sent you could change it. And each message in the chatlog would have a little faint dot beside them, which you'd click to see what the sprite was on at the time that message was sent.
    It'd be like the alterniabound setup, but with one person's sprite on the left and one on the right. Which I guess would mean you'd have to be able to set 'right side'/'left side' versions of the sprites. Ah gad this is complicated, sorry. But if anyone wanted to take up the challenge, it'd make my life! xD

    I'm not sure if this is resolved already, but I'll ask anyway.

    So I downloaded this Pesterchum thing, and it's worked fine for me. I went on a certain memo, it was good, I could talk to people. But recently I've been "invisible" to certain people. They can't see my text. At all. They told me closing out and reopening the memo would fix it, but it didn't. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling; that also failed. I'm now "invisible" to half the people who regularly go on there. Kiiinda frustrating. Would like to know if there's a possible solution to this.

    So if you just say, anger a cannon handle, *all Karkat's fault* and they block your username, does it stay blocked forever?

    Okay, so I have a (probably) stupid question:
    why are the dropdown menus (client, help, etc. at the top of the main window) not showing up in linux? I've looked around for answers on the thread, but I've never been good at finding things...

    You've got to start your chumhandle with a normal letter, and for the second part you've got to start with a capital letter. For example: enthusiasticScholar which will show up as 'ES'.

    Try talking to Dariox97 (amateurMarksman). They had the same problem and managed to get it working.

    A friend of mine just got Pesterchum and in almost every theme of Pesterchum, he can't switch out of it. When he presses the button 'theme', nothing opens so he has to log out every time he wants to change his theme. Does anyone know how this can be fixed?

    Is it possible to have a quirk randomly change the color of some words? Or change the color of ever Xth word?

    It's probably not, but it might be possible to have it randomly change the colors of LETTERS.
    I know it changes all of mine normally.

    I use \S to reduce the chances of line breaking, and each semicolon represents new random regexps.

    Words would be

    You could do that by random replacing
    Code:
    \b(\S+)\b
    with
    Code:
    \1
    \1
    \1
    <c=green>\1</c>
    (Replace 'green' with whatever shade of green you want to use; the word green represents the default shade, #008000.)

    Thank you! This works wonderfully. I liked how the words looked better than the letters. It's kind of annoying that apostrophes count as new words, but eh. Can't be too picky, I guess.

    I think that using '\b(\S+)\b' in place of '(\w+)' fixes that. And you can take out one of those '\1's if you want the frequency at 1/4 instead of 1/5, because it seems like it actually happens a little less often than the frequency you set it at.

    When you hit the "X" in the upper-right corner, Pesterchum minimizes the program to the system tray and keeps running. If the program didn't exit, you're still running an instance that is using the handle that you wish to connect with. Right-click the icon in your system tray and hit exit to actually exit the program (or select "exit" from the Client menu).

    That, or someone is actually using the handle you're trying to connect with. In which case, you're out of luck.

    No, I exited by hitting the x on the corner and it disapeared even from my system tray. Now when I try to log in it says I can't use my accounts. So I don't know why but Pesterchum does go away when I hit the right hand corner X, and when it does I can't use that account again.
