Homestuck AU: Doubleswap [OOC]

HOMESTUCK AU

I am aware a lot of AU exist, and that many of them are often bloodswaps, genderswaps, and even kidswaps. I thought about something in my head, and found something I was intrigued in, as it would suggest that the kids could very well change the sequence of events, the very story itself in an enormous way from this.

Chumhandle: ghoulishTerminologist
Likes: Ghosts, Mysteries, Psychoanalyzing, Becquerel, Nanna, certain jokes, Scooby Doo, telling ghost stories.
Dislikes: bad jokes, rude people, ignorance that is not plagued with adorable, disrespect.
Personality: Is easily emotionally hurt as he is aware his connections and interactions with regular society have been fairly limited to the internet and a taxidermied corpse of a woman he never really knew. He enjoys chatting with people and trying to figure out people, probably because he wants to understand everything he can. He is bad at jokes, not that he can't be funny, but that he chooses poor times to try and be funny. His jokes end up coming off more as 'shocking' than 'funny',

Interactions with other kids: It can depend on John's mood, but more often than not he is happy to speak with them if he isn't neck deep in ghostly affairs and other types of business. He would probably drop whatever he was doing to speak to his friends if it wasn't top priority.
Interactions with guardian: Good Dog, Best Friend. Often refers to Becquerel as Scooby. He loves Bec a great deal, and would never wish to harm him.

Rose Strider

-Chumhandle: turntableTerror (? potentially subject to change)
types with perfect syntax and punctuation, but no capitalization unless she is saying something Very Important.
-Likes: irony, wordplay, esoteric knowledge, making music (mostly mixing, but has been known to shred a mean tune on her electric violin), animals.
-Dislikes: cake, clowns, idiots, “mainstream” music, ‘girly’ things.
-Personality: Rose can come across as rather aloof, due to her quiet nature and caustic way of speaking, but she really is quite insecure. She does speak (mostly only to deliver a crushingly sarcastic reply to some idiotic remark directed her way) but her words are carefully chosen. She doesn’t let herself get riled up easily, but when she does, her reactions are swift and merciless. She doesn’t take well to getting ordered around, preferring to be the one in control whenever possible.
Rose is acutely aware of irony, and tends to try and embrace it in her life as much as possible – she has decorated her room in an incredibly girly fashion (Squiddles posters, a few harlequins she hasn’t gotten around to making into “art” yet, pink walls with pony wallpaper, etc. The kitten poster over her bed is the only one she enjoys unironically) to make a statement showing she doesn’t care. Most people seem not to understand her subtle humor/irony, though, and she keeps getting girly presents and harlequins from her Dad.
Rose is incredibly loyal to her few friends, though she sees herself as much too cool to admit it out loud, and would flip the fuck out if any of them were in actual danger. She considers her friends much closer than her actual family (i.e. Dad). Her insecurity can shine through if she ever thinks they are legitimately mad at her, and she will be quick to apologize, although she will act reluctant.
-Strife Specibus: Bowkind
-Fetch modus: Poetry modus
-Interactions with the other kids: Rose is gently mocking towards the other kids, but as they are her only real friends, she is much less harsh with them than anyone else. She tends to goad them into doing things they might not otherwise do, usually for good reasons but sometimes just to feel like she is in control. She generally has the good grace to feel sorry after incidents involving the latter, however.
-Interactions with Guardian (Dad): Suspicious; sees him as trying to be overprotective in the stereotypical Dad fashion, and retaliates by ironically accepting his offerings of baked goods and clowns, then makes horrifically ugly “art” out of them and places them around the house to try and rile him. It doesn’t work. She also refuses to listen to what he tells her to do, even if it’s a good idea, to the point that she will not even eat dessert, or watch her favourite TV show, unless he stops asking her to do so and pretends to ignore her.

Sylladex: Rotary Petal Modus (The Captchalogue cards array themselves in a circle around the user's waist (ie: like flower petals). Comes in two modes: static=North card always points North, and unlocked=Front Card will always be in front of you (so it rotates to correspond to your current orientation))
House: A modern architectural marvel of steel and glass situated near a volcano. Basement levels of house descend below ground level into areas rich in geothermal activity, which the house uses as its primary source of energy.
Planet: Land of ??? and Frogs
Likes: My Little Pony puppets dolls (maybe ironically???), weird preserved live plants, Gardeining, Bubbly beats, anthropomorphic flora, irony
Hates: Dead things

Has some sick skills, but he's sort of a WIMP. Likes to talk but becomes a coward when confronted.
Totally understands his mother's fascination with wizards. It's probably a really ironic thing that someone so engrossed in science is also infatuated with entities of magic. That's cool. He's totally cool with that. He more or less gets along with her, that being that he usually does his thing and she does her own thing, namely science or wizardry perhaps.

Jade Egbert – Chumhandle: guilefulGreenskeeper (alternatively: eclecticBotanist)
never uses capitalization, but her punctuation is pretty good. and text smilies when she's excited.

Likes: pranks, plants, animals, science, gardening, friends, cartoons, terrible movies
Dislikes: puppets, irony, mean people
Personality: She loves wildlife, plants and animals both. Even though she lives in a big city, she still has live plants all around her room that she cares for lovingly. She really wishes she could have a dog, but the owner of the apartment building she lives in forbids it. She also loves cartoons and horrible movies—UNironically, she is quick to add. She also loves pranking people. She believes in using simple pranks rather than overly complicated ones, but using them in such a way that they are unique and unexpected.

She's naive, but oddly perceptive. Even though she only knows her three best friends over the internet, she's quick to notice when they are acting oddly, even if she doesn't quite understand the reasons behind it. She always does her best to cheer them up regardless, although half the time she says the wrong thing and just makes it worse. Perhaps it's her childish charm that keeps everyone friends with her.

Her aspirations for the future are to become a botanist and one day meet her friends in real life.

Interactions with Other Kids: Although she hates irony, she tolerates it from her friends, perhaps because she thinks they aren't quite as obsessed with it as Bro. She's probably wrong about that, though. She generally tries to be very nice and always cheer up others, but she'll hide her own feelings so as not to make them upset. She's likely to drop whatever she's doing to talk to them.
Interactions with Guardian: Jade loves Bro, she really does. She just finds him aggravating and insufferable at times. She purposely chooses geeky interests unironically to attempt to rile him up, although it never works. She's positively terrified of Lil' Cal, and Bro often uses this fact to prank her. She almost always gets back at him, though. She learned pranking from the best, after all. In spite of pranking fights and literal strifes, however, he does occasionally watch her terrible movies with her, and he knows never to bother her plants. It's probably because of this that Jade doesn't out and out hate him.

PLOT:
Presently no major plot has been decided besides 'They play SBurb and attempt to beat the game'. I do not really intend on trollings to occur, but if they do then I suppose there could be discussion among the players of whether or not the trolls would change, or what the circumstances of any swapping would be.

Where it would take place:
My intent was to do this via the new Pesterchum, which if you missed is right here. If you can not use Pesterchum, you can still apply, I would be more than willing to open an IRC of sorts, probably a typewith.me though.
I could easily format and color any logs done.
I would plan to do mainly written updates, but if you would feel so inclined to illustrate a post you are doing, that is fine.
It would also be a good idea to get any events/posts you intend to do to be cleared by the other players as well, for the sake of making sure nothing is glossed over/missed/ignored/etc.

I would LIKE to have back-ups, just in case anyone has to end up dropping out.

I'm working on a Rose Strider sprite, and my question is this: are we keeping the kids' original symbols (Rose=Squiddle, Dave=Record, John=green slime ghost, Jade=Bec/ever changing), switching them up with the personalities (Rose=Record, John=Squiddle (Bec?), Dave=ever-changing, Jade=green slime ghost) or making up new symbols entirely to fit the new characters?

Doesn't particularly matter to me at this point, but it would be nice to know, even if it's not a completely essential detail.

That would SEEM to be the case, but Dave becomes the Knight of Space, so he needs the Forge, and the tower.
Therefore we have to move homes by Personality and not guardians, however decor of the houses would be modified by the Guardians clearly.
This just means Mom is a rich genius, Bro got a decent paying job, Dad is down on his luck, but a loving father, and well, John has Becquerel and a taxidermied Nanna, presumably the house John live's in is Nanna's house.

And actually, thanks to this new update, its possible.
