The text at the bottom Narrator seems pretty pissed at being overridden by this mystery guy and Doc Scratch too I guess. Hence the ALLCAPS WHOA JOHN TIME.

I think I like Kanaya better when she isn't pining over a chick. Her best parts usually take place when she isn't talking to Rose or Vriska, like her conversations with Jade and Karkat. This is a personal preference, but I would prefer if she refrained from any shipping related conversations and actions for a while. Unlikely, but I shall still hope. I am a rampant shipper, but I dislike it when it happens in the comic. I am strange.

edit: What I mean is, the first thing she does after neutralizing the threats of Gamzee, Eridan, and Vriska is check on Rose, like she has done countless times. Why not contact Karkat in order to meet up, or try and finish Gamzee off before he recovers and continues to kill everyone? Whenever Kan has a girl in mind she does stupid things and operates with impaired judgement.

Just had this thought regarding the yard of influence. What if Andrew contributes by cutting one yard of the beat mesa? If the kids are going to dodge the scratch, they probably can't be in their universe while it's reset. If Andrew intervenes and cuts the final yard of the beat mesa, John (or Dave), whoever was cutting the beat mesa previously, would also be able to escape.

How do we know the Big Man isn't Doc Scratch? Go ahead and read it again is his headcanon voice. Sounds likely to me. Limiting himself to one single intervention despite claiming passivity fits the profile exactly for a being that doesn't lie but stretches the truth.

The narrator is telling the Geek Chorus to RELAX. We've had crazy people here be "disappointed" about events that haven't happened yet (how is that even a thing?), and formspring questions threatening regequits (oh dear gods no, anything but that) over a reset button that hasn't been pushed.

I think it's been made abundantly clear that Mr. Andrew Hussie has read the Evil Overlord's guide and does not need any warnings of obvious traps and pitfalls. So stop pointing them out. Wait for for him to fall in one, and THEN you can point and laugh, but don't bet on it happening.

On the other hand, being unhappy that the story may not take the direction you want? Don't do that unless you want to be pointed to and laughed at for being a big dork. As Andrew has said countless times, Homestuck is not your fanfiction.
