8 Days without a post? C'mon we aren't dead yet, are we?
Basically, right now the only thing I can do for the project is wait for more resources. I need some more music from our music dudes, I need a new court background, I need the script from Dr. Gunsforhands. I certainly don't want the project to die, but for now, there's not much I can do.
Also, this is an important lesson for our scriptwriters. Ending up in a slow transitional period between Cases is a serious problem, so you guys need to make sure that once a case is wrapping up, you have the script ready, or at least enough of it that we can begin on it.
Damn, this secret project I'm doing is taking long. I'm planning to post it by my 10.000th post, which according to my calculations should be somewhere end of July, beginning of August 2013 (I have 5150 posts at this point, but I have already been going for 3 months or so)
Theories
Liv Tyler's whole journey will be shown in a flash called [S] Terry: Fast forward to Liv while a fast version of "How Do I" plays. Semi-confirmed.
While Caliborn is talking to this person at the other side of the terminal, this person at one point says: “Hey. Caliborn. Don’t turn your back on the body.”
Caliborn turns around and notices Gamzee’s body is gone.
honk
And so it begins again. Semi-confirmed.
GCat just teleported Roxy to the Condesce.Confirmed
Calliope and uu are living on B2 Earth, or maybe a doomed timeline version of it where the Red Miles didn't reach it (yet).
uu will write the LE code to make himself immortal.
A Frog Temple for Calliope and uu is somewhere in the Trolls' meteor somehow.
Gamzee went into hiding so he could protect the corpses of the Trolls of being destroyed so he could prototype them in B2.
GCat is Calliope's jUjU, in case the Cherubs are living on B2 Earth, late into the future. It would make a bit of sense, since First Guardians have Lime coloured features (teleportation powers, tongue, etc.) which Calliope has as blood colour. Also, Calliope is a Hero of Space and Heroes of Space usually have connections to their First Guardian.
B2 Earth is not going to get destroyed by the Red Miles since the Condesce, GCat, Lil Cal and Lil Seb are still there.
Dad will find Jane's body on Derse and a callback is made to Grandpa Harley finding Dream Jane's body. Not knowing how to escape, Dad panics. But then, B2 Jade comes flying along on a ship and offers him a ride and he gets shipped somewhere. Perhaps shipped with someone else. Perhaps he gets shipped with B2 Rose.
...That was my first time playing anything like this, and that was awesome. You may have just sold me on the Ace Attorney series.
Bug report:
-The image for guilty seemed to be sized too big, so it said "NotGuilt|(edge of screen)
-The penalty scene where Gamzee wakes up and subtracts 10 points from Slytherin has numerous glitches (Gamzee dissapears a couple times, the screen goes black near the end, and what looked like a debug box appears during it.).
-When Pomade responds to Gamzee asking for his last testimony, his picture is replaced with the gavel.
-When Pomade is being pressed on "BUT THEN JOUSTO STARTS FLIPPING THE FUCK OUT" he disappears during two parts of it, right next to each other.
-Vriska's sprite need to be flipped.
Anyway, keep up the good work; I need go find out where I can get these games.

I'm sorry for my absence, people, just moved in to my new home at university, taken a few weeks to get my music equipment and computers sorted out here. Will have new music soon, I hope. Might be a little longer than it usually takes me, got loooads of work to do at the same time. Music has become procrastination
Re: Terezi Pyrope: Ace Attorney: Writer Needed For Case 2
While I recently learnt the Wrightscript language in PyWright and would gladly help out with coding parts of the script when I have the time, I'm horrible when it comes to planning cases. :P
Uh... I don't think this is Win7 compliant. Whenever I try to run the PyWright.exe, nothing happens. ლ(ಠ益ಠლ
It works on my Windows 7 just fine. I can't think of what you might be doing wrong though...
NOTICE: Please please please do not call me Mathy or Mathie. I dunno, they just feel sort of condescending. You can call me by an assortment of other things, however.

You do not have the proper type of Gameboy for that! But you get the idea and quickly write up the introduction sequence with the montage style in mind.
You PM the resulting wall of text to Roundy for safe keeping.

Okay guys, we also need some art. First and foremost, a reference-able design for Cavian Vosiff, whose duties include carrying groceries and dying. All we really have set in stone about him are that he had a guinea pig lusus and he could shriek really loudly.
Also, we could use more sprite poses for witness 1 (Chris the Tsunami's Troika Sevurn):
...and witness 2 (googlesOwl's Mirado Fuzzle):
Any Takers?
Last edited by Dr. Gunsforhands; 10-27-2011 at 01:43 AM.
I actually have some poses already done for Fuzzle:
But I realized that he's too tall so I've been fiddling around with that...
Also, for the images four sprites long he looks really awkward. I have to fix that
I have some sketches of the scenes with Cavian, but I have to scan it, along with more dynamic poses of Fuzzle. Cavian's sketches will probably be up by Friday, but it's not a big deal if someone else designs him.
(P.S. I had no idea this was a development thread also )
Re: Terezi Pyrope: Ace Attorney Development Thread
Awesome.
On another note, we need a background for the detention center where suspects are held before/during their trial. It will come in handy for a bunch of future episodes. Any takers?

Re: Terezi Pyrope: Ace Attorney Development Thread
Just quickly popping in to say I'm not dead and I'm still working on the sprite sheet for the first witness. I'm almost done with a new set that I might be able to it get done and uploaded by tonight.
Re: Terezi Pyrope: Ace Attorney Development Thread
Roundy!
After hell month with school and everything drew to a close, I FINALLY finished the work on the editing of the ancestor case. (It's case four.) It is mainly the same, with the exception of a few changes to locations, one or two characters, occupations, and miniature details. I was wondering if you wanted me to post the new mini-outline here, or perhaps send it to you in a PM? I'm working on the actual script for the actual case right now.
ALSO. In case we were still interested in having voices, I do a Terezi voice. Here's my tindeck, with several recordings. I'm also part of a larger voice acting group called the MSPA VA Troupe, and our collaborative tindeck can be found here. If there was a need for a lot of voicing, I could talk to our leader, Jacob, about it. I'm sure that we'd be able to provide voices for everything!
Anyhow, I'm off to go write. :3

Re: Terezi Pyrope: Ace Attorney Development Thread
Aaagh. While Gunsforhands was MIA, I actually went and wrote an entire synopsis for Case 2...which is now essentially useless.
...Dammit I'm posting it anyway. I put a lot of effort into this thing. Feel free to use any bits that might be useful from this, I guess. It's not like I can do anything with it -_-;
Synopsis:
Karkat has been taken into custody following the death of a greenblooded troll named Shided Taibdy. The murder took place behind his office on a night when he was working late. At the scene of the crime, the victim was found with their throat slit and a bunch of other lacerations (specifically eight cuts in total including the throat). On the scene of the crime was found a pool of unidentified yellow blood. Karkat's office was in the same building as the victim, and the victim had tried to blackmail him before (with knowledge of his blood colour. Karkat's links to some anonymous protector (Kanaya) prevented them) so they'd been seen arguing or acting with dislike toward each other.
The actual crime went as follows: Vriska manipul8ed a yellow-blooded Troll named Marion Nettes into killing Taibdy because he knew about her shady practices like forging evidence and feeding trolls to her lusus and was going to report her for it unless she paid him handsomely. Marion finally came to her senses at the scene of the crime, but not before she'd been seen by a witness: Kanaya Maryam. Kanaya, having just witnessed the murder went to stop the culprit (being the helpful type she is) but all the blood stirred bright feelings and she couldn't resist having a taste of the blood of the pretty girl troll she had just grabbed. The witness ran while Kanaya was distracted by shock of her own action (and the unpleasant taste, Bluh!). Kanaya stayed around on the scene making sure that the daylight-dwelling beasts and undead didn't tamper with the crime scene and took a photograph. Not knowing that her friend Karkat would be implicated, or that Vriska was actually the perpetrator, she gave the photo to her moirail who was going to be the prosecutor, hoping that this would mean the case would be solved without her having to testify due to the shame of her blood drinking.

Characters:
Terezi Pyrope: Legislacerator!
Nepeta Leijon: Your trusty sidekick and shipping maniac.
Vriska Serket: The prosecutor. Also the killer.Huge 8itch bluh bluh.
Gamzee Makara: The judge. Kind of an oddball.
Karkat Vantas: The accused. A prosecutor who hides his blood colour.
Marion Nettes: The murderer in a physical sense, but being controlled by Vriska.
Kanaya Maryam: Witness to the crime with a shameful secret
Shided Taibdy: The victim, an information selling douchebag
Aradia Megido: Trollcop and ally of justice. Sweet but morbid.
The story begins with Nepeta bursting into Terezi's office, requesting help. Terezi chooses to represent Karkat in the trial and he accepts on the condition that he will not take part in a blood test.
They go to the scene of the crime and meet troll cop Aradia Megido (looking like the album art for 'Trollcops' from Alterniabound). She tells you some things about the crime, giving you the autopsy report and gives a rundown of what they found, then allows you to look around the scene of the crime. You take note of the yellow blood on the ground, the green blood splashed around the crime scene some distance away from the yellow patch. There are also footprints of the green blood leading to the patch of yellow and then away from the scene, quickly fading. There is a well-thumbed and crumpled looking trashy Rainbow Drinker novel on the ground, which Terezi adds to the record because it smells suspiciously bright. Finally there is a scrap of 'absolutely gorgeous fabric' caught on a splintered crate. Going back to Karkat and presenting him with the fabric, he will tell you that there's absolutely no doubt that it's Kanaya's handiwork; nobody else makes dresses that stupidly fashionable in or around this town. What Kanaya would have to do with it all they don't know, but her profile is added anyway.
On returning to the office, Nepeta asks that she be taken into court to help tomorrow, and Terezi agrees.
-
The first night of the trial pits you against Vriska, a far more dangerous prosecutor than Karkat because she plays dirty and wants to win no matter what and without any compassion for the defendant. Marion Nettes is the witness. She is a pretty troll with a slightly rebellious look about her (ie. Totally Kanaya's type) her sign is in grey. There is a scarf around her neck and a sword/katana/similar on her back. She testifies that that night she saw Karkat corner the victim in the back alley and slash him a bunch of times with 'a blade' pressing the statement reveals that there was nothing distinctive about the blade, but Terezi counters this presenting Karkat's very distinctive sickle. Marion's face goes blank as she says robotically (mind controlled) that now she remembers it was actually a sickle. Terezi realises that Vriska is up to her tricks, and she'll need a better trap for this witness, so decides to ask further about the night of the murder.
Marion testifies that it was nearly morning and she was on her way home (when pressed, she says she'd been out shopping and met a friend, then lost track of the time so she was in a rush because she didn't want to be out in the sun.). She saw the murder and panicked and ran, worried that they'd attack her too. (When pressed on this, Terezi asks for a clearer description of the scene and she describes the green and yellow blood. Vriska will now present the crime photo.) She didn't think to call the authorities until the next morning (If pressed on this, Vriska objects to your badgering her witness claiming she was in a panicked state, and the victim again turns robotic and says she was panicked). When Vriska presents the photo, it shows a picture of the scene from a beautiful artistic angle with light rays pouring into the alley. She says that the witness took the picture. The player can (and should) object to this, arguing that the sunlight is way too bright for any troll...unless the witness is highly sun resistant.
When Gamzee asks if she is, she goes robotic again, saying she is, until Terezi selects the 'have her demonstrate' prompt, where she flips out, overcoming the mind control out of sheer terror and says that she absolutely is not!
Asked for a conclusion to this by Gamzee, Terezi selects “somebody else took the photo.” and she has a good idea who. The witness is decided to have too many contradictions to be trusted that she was even on the scene and lead out to 'Go ChIlL sOmEpLaCe'. Court is adjourned for the night.
Vriska is furious, saying that tomorrow they won't be so lucky! Karkat asks about the photo, and they both agree that with the cloth and the daylit photo, there's only one person who could be involved... But why wouldn't she go to the witness stand? she's usually a huge meddler, after all. Nepeta's shipping knowledge to the rescue! Kanaya is Vriska's moirail so maybe she's protecting the prosecutor. There's only one thing to do: Go to Kanaya's hive!
-
Kanaya's Hive. Here you meet Kanaya, who is brisk and evasive, speaking very formally and clearly feeling like she has something to hide. She asks if it makes any difference to anybody if she testifies. On being presented with Karkat's profile, she says that she's afraid to help, but you can ask her questions if it will save him because he's a close friend.
Examining her hive, you will see a fabulous dress on one of the stands, which on closer inspection has a tear at the back, turning it around, there is a trail of yellow blood down it! Kanaya admits that she was there, and she struggled with the muderer, but that she was too embarrassed to testify.
Asked further about this 'embarrassment', Kanaya looks shifty and asks you to leave.
Night 2 of the trial! Vriska calls Karkat to the stand. His testimony doesn't go great. He was in the office at the time but has no concrete proof that he was, and is evasive when asked to prove that the yellow blood is not his. This is going horribly! It really looks like he's doomed, and Vriska is crying out for his blood. Suddenly out of nowhere- “Hold It!”
Kanaya takes to the witness stand. She simply cannot allow this to continue. Karkat is innocent!
Kanaya testifies that she was present when the murder took place, and that the murderer was certainly not Karkat, but a manipulated Marion Nettes. She also took the photograph in the early hours of the morning because she is unusually resistant to sunlight and is willing to demonstrate if asked. She also says that she attempted to stop the perpetrator from fleeing-
Terezi presses her on this and falls right into Vriska's web. Vriska asks Kanaya cruelly, why, if she did catch this person, did she allow them to escape, and when Kanaya is silent, she asserts that the witness is lying to protect the guilty party. Kanaya is scandalised by this treatment by her moirail.
Terezi gets a flash of inspiration and asks Kanaya to describe the crime scene in detail, “TH3R3 W4S 4 LOT OF BLOOD. W1TH TH4T SUN 4BOUT TO R1S3 1T MUST H4V3 4LL B33N V3RY...BR1GHT.” Kanaya describes how horrifically and beautifully bright it was, the green blood like a glittering ocean against the crimson blush of the sunrise, the exquisite shock on the face of the young maiden who had been made to commit the crime. She narrates this in prose reminiscent of a romance novel. She grabbed the lady in her arms to stop and calm her, but in the struggle scratched her, causing a little blood to well up from a graze on her neck....Just a taste, there was nobody around...a little taste wouldn't harm anyone.
Gamzee is just bewildered by what the fuck is going on, and asks Terezi for some kind of explanation fo Kanaya's “MoThEr FuCkInG wEiRd StOrY” and what it means. Terezi presents the Rainbow Drinker novel, and correctly deduces that Kanaya could not resist tasting the blood of the girl she had captured.
Vriska counters that this is of no importance whatsoever and says it's become a farce, but Terezi objects that if Marion Nettes has yellow blood and wounds on her neck under her scarf, she is almost certainly the murderer.
There is a short recess. Kanaya is so embarrassed that she is going to go and live on her own in the desert for a while. Terezi isn't sure why anybody would feel embarrassed about wanting to know what blood tastes like- seems like valid curiosity to her! She thanks Kanaya for her contribution. Karkat is glad for Kanaya's support, but not optimistic. He says Vriska looked desperate up there and will probably pull something ridiculous. He may just have to use his ace in the hole, but he's afraid of what it means. He admits he wouldn't want Terezi to think badly of him, but she whispers in his ear that she knows- she has known for a long time, and that she happens to like cherry.
Back in court, Marion comes to the stand briefly, revealing her wound under the scarf, and saying she was told not to talk by the prosecutor, and that she was told the rainbow drinker would be set loose on her again if she did. Gamzee is about to pronounce the defendant innocent when suddenly the whole courtroom is in uproar, shouting for Karkat's blood. This is Vriska's final card. Suddenly every troll in the stands is shouting they will testify and that they saw it. Gamzee is at a loss. This number of witnesses all shouting it was Karkat certainly seems pretty solid to him! (how high do you even have to be, your honor!?). “See, sis, it was inev8able all along. I always win!!!!!!!!”
“FUCK YOU!”
Karkat stands at the front of court, and says he can prove that the blood at the crime scene wasn't his without a doubt! There is a slashing sound, and Karkat holds up a hand, bleeding cherry red from a gash. There is silence, then everything goes shithive maggots.
After the trial, Terezi gives a brief post-mortem. Karkat was found innocent, but as a mutant, his reputation was ruined now. There was no way he could work in the courts any more. He has gone to stay with Kanaya at her new home out in the desert. It's not so bad. Meanwhile, Vriska somehow got away scot-free! 8Itch! And as for Terezi...well, she has a sidekick for good now, it seems. Nepeta is determined to stay and protect love for everybody. A protector of love and a protector of justice working together? Aw hell, why not? END.
