Okay so this thread keeps becoming more and more awesome. I want to try and contribute something here, although I lack much in the musical skills department. Anyways here is something I am putting together, it is not complete yet but just wanted to post it so far. It is a parody of the Gordon Lightfoot song The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald that I am calling The Wreck of the Sburb Session.

The legend lives on from the Veil on down
of the big mistake called the Sburb Session.
Doomed Daves, it is said, did pile up dead
And the seer she did often act gloomy.
Loads of problems in store, twenty-four hours before
the Sburb Session would be null and empty,
and Trolls there were few with a bone to be chewed
for when failin’s of the humans came callin’.

The game was the pride for the Alternian side
compared to the group of naive humans.
But as big mess ups go, it was bigger than most
with a crew and goof captain ill seasoned,
completing some Kernelsprite’s with a couple of weird sights
when they leapt haphazardly into the Medium.
And later what fright when the fire's green rained,
could it be the doom they'd been hearin'?

The windy thing blew, fires were made short-work too
and a Vriska broke out the praising.
And ev'ry troll knew, of the cause of Jack too
'twas the witch of space come enterin'.
On the quest bed it was fate the restin’ couldn’t wait
when the Soveriegn Slayer came slashin'.
When afterwards came it was godtier' gain
in the face of a hurricane west wind.

Those are the first three verses of seven. I do not know if they would sound any good. But yeah, that is that, hopefully people enjoy it.

@BassicGuy - Could use a bit more emotion. I mean, I don't really know how to explain. Just, it's kind of flat the way you do the voices. I really like your John voice, but I think he should sound a bit more...irritated or something? And Karkat isn't quite...loud enough? I have no idea.. Also, the final product will probably need overlapping voices, so I'm not too sure about your voices being so similar. Sorry if I seem rude, I really do appreciate that you're doing this even though you don't need to. You are awesome and all, I'm just trying to actually do something other than spew out lyrics in my little corner, so maybe critique is the way to go? Idk.

Very nice meter and stress patterns. They match the original well and have a consistent rhyming scheme. I applaud your efforts and look forward to seeing/hearing the finished product.

You know, a lot of it could also work with Jade if that made the rhyming easier. I know it wouldn't fit the meter as well, but it's just a thought.

Glad you think so! I did think it could work with Jade, but the meter thing is what made me use Terezi. Also it's funnier (imagine Terezi in a dress... the events leading up to it... I dunno, maybe it's just me).
