    The second problem is that I'm a slow butt who has school to work on.

    Aaaand I'll take a break from Terezi storyboard for the moment and do something else. Doesn't mean I won't work on it again, though.

    Is there anything from the early part of the song that needs an animatic/storyboard? Like when the trolls are fighting the dersite soldiers? If not, I think I'll do something for Feferi and Eridan part, which wasn't discussed that much I think.

    I'd be very happy to be a part of this. The thing is, it's quite difficult for me to art things for flashes without a Tablet. I suppose I could see what I could produce with a mouse, but it won't be anywhere near as good as something I could hand-draw.

    And yes, if possible, could a list or at least some suggestions be put up on what we need? I don't want to art somethin' up and find out that part of the fight has already been... arted for.

    Art.

    Since it might be a while until I post the next Kanaya storyboard since I'm trying to figure out how to go about showing Kanaya kicking ass and taking names (aka the gap from when she's revving her chainsaw to when the end of her portion), there's only one thing I'm sure about and that's how I want it to transition:

    Basically, in the middle of whatever Kanaya's doing -- something other than standing around -- the camera zooms in on her and an article of her clothing basically flows past, blocking camera view, and when Kan fully passes by, the clothing will pass too, and we will see Equius and Nepeta doing their thing.

    I hope that makes sense. And sorry for not putting any approximate times up there, since I'm not exactly sure as to when that part will happen -- probably five seconds right before the end of her part? '__'

    I am actually still trying to make this Black King work
    Mostly because I don't have anything better to do
    For some reason all my Homestuck related art shenanigans come out looking like crap
    I finally figured out how to gif
    Also I will add the tentacles later
    I thought it could maybe work when the first scream starts in the song
    Do you need anymore pawn shots? That may be easy enough for me to work on

    Also unrelated that storyboard is awesome

    this is awesome. this is how big a chainsaw should be. Whenever I am looking at the group shot kanaya, I always get distracted by how small Kan's chainsaw looks in that picture, along with how she is holding it with one hand.

    here is a list of what we still need art-wise;
    Karkat; we need a lot more of him, i think we have about three pictures of him so far, along with a storyboard.
    Kanaya; the group shot portion could use some work regarding the chainsaw (see previous post)
    Vriska; we have absolutely nothing here, excluding the group picture and i think an unfinished storyboard.
    Gamzee; we need more stuff here
    Equius; We have some good stuff, but we still need a storyboard for him.
    Nepeta; We need more pictures, try to combine her and equius together as their parts apparently overlap.
    Terezi; we have a lot for her, still need more.
    Sollux; same deal as terezi
    Aradia; we really need some teleporting effects done, we seem to be having some trouble with that. We also need to find a way to incorporate the vast glub as a visible effect on hr many clones.
    eridan; We have next to nothing for him. yeah.
    Feferi; we have literally nothing for her.
    Tavros; we need a few charging animations with him in his rocket chair, as well as some possible wipe out things.
    Black king; We need stuff for him, preferably large pan shots and wiggly bits as well.
    Meteors; we're good.
    Backgrounds; maybe need some of those here? not sure '-'
    effects; we need warping, smoke, clouds, electricity, fire, movement- really, just try to make it look flashy.
    Weapons; try to get the characters weapons done separately for now, to use as a drawing template

    If anyone thinks of anything else, tell me andd I will update/repost this list with those additions.
    *also i am not counting the pictures to be used for the pan shots. this is not unintentionally.*

    mechanicalProfessor, if you try to make a list of what we still need (which is going to be kind of difficult, to be honest, since a lot of the Flash is still pretty unformed), my suggestion would be to at least check the OP for a list of most current assets. For instance, there is in fact a Karkat storyboard. :X

    So, besides the storyboard, can you make a checklist of what art we need?
    To be honest, we're still kind of in need for everything for every character... maybe Sollux and Aradia's segment is handled right now. I think Sega's flash still needs some adjustment but is otherwise pretty good. A lot of the Flash is still up-for-grabs, so specific needs are kind of difficult to account for right now. That's partially why I've been calling for more attention on the first minute or so, such that we can handle this chronologically.

    On the whole, though, I think it's safe to say that we'd gladly accept the following:

    -Stillshots that correspond to scenes described in the OP's storyboards.

    -Assets that correspond to animated storyboards (which can be found in the OP's art assets), such as something from Morphosky's Terezi storyboard.

    -Drawn storyboards for a character's part, using the OP storyboard as a guideline. Morphosky's/appleaerosol's storyboard being a good example.

    But particularly, what we need right now for progress are shots of the Black King in pose, a workable tiny Aradiabot warp sequence, Dersite soldiers coming in for battle, and a groupshot of all the trolls standing together in preparation for battle... basically anything that can be found in the first minute or so of the OP's storyboard.

    At the moment, I've kind of been stalled out by a lack of good Black King shots for the opening of the Flash. So that would be really nice if anybody wants to get on that.

    Terezi storyboard looks great. The view on the stab-eye part looks amazing.

    Also I think a Troll-fighting-Dersite storyboard would be nice. Feferi/Eridan are still kind of in the future, so something earlier sounds like a good idea.

    Alright, thanks mP. I'll try to produce anything for Tavros, Karkat, Nepeta, and Terezi, if I can. I'm staying the hell away from the Black King though. x_x

    Also, my input on Gamzee's part: I'm positive this has been said before, but uh, his actual attack on the Black King should probably not be shown. I feel it would be more dramatic showing trolls staring in bewilderment towards the end of his section, there's a flash at the thunder strike, and then a picture of the King badly, badly injured.

    To be honest, I'm not entirely sure we ever actually needed a crazy Aradia warp sequence. Your originals looked pretty good and pretty warpy to me. I'm wondering if maybe the issue was that there wasn't enough warping in the example, which made it less obvious that it was happening at all. The final version is intended to have a lot more in the way of Aradiabots warping in, so...

    Yeah. Actually, I don't think we need a new Aradiabot warp sequence unless anybody else has a big issue with it. :X

    I myself tried a Black King pic and totally failed. I'm thinking that I'm going to try something else, next. I can't seem to decide upon what, yet, though. We shall see.

    I really like the idea of having Kanaya's outfit as the lead-in for Equius/Nepeta's part. Looking pretty good on the whole with Kanaya there.

    That said, there should probably be some of those weird tubes of the battlefield throughout the sky, the same way there were in the kid's fully prototyped battlefield.
    In the only backgrounds we've ever seen of the troll Battlefield, there were no wierd tube things, so I guess we can make of that what we will.

    We still don't have solid storyboards for Tavros, Feferi/Eridan, Nepeta/Equius, and Gamzee at least, I think. Also we'll probably need storyboards for the Black King's response segments. So it's a pretty wide open world on that score.

    Perhaps its complexity turned more inward than outward. Or the King somehow ended up on the outermost tubething. Or Aradiabot has horrible distance vision. There are any number of justifications that could be made.

    The Karkat w/King's tentacle thing is actually part of a larger animation, and since I'm getting frustrated with my mouse, I'm going to rework the entire "karkat waving to teammates and getting slapped with a tentacle and then getting mad and leaping" part (ok I'll go insane before managing to get this much done) on paper, and then trace it all over digitally. See you in a few months guys o/
