Oh man guys. This is just way too awesome. Sorry to say that I can't contribute in art in anyways, but I can definitely provide moral support. I give this fan project over 9000 thumbs up. I love the few flash segemnts made so far and can't WAIT for this project to finish!

Problem with that.. knowing the king being the big bully guy he his he would probably notice Karkat and his wall/tentacle jumping. He would probably just squish him between his tentacles. That is, if we're trying to keep this somewhat logical... Still like the idea though.

Black King has a lot of tentacles and he is currently battling Karkat already, so him jumping between two tentacles as he tries to dodge the ones lunging at him would be perfectly logical. For a fight scene at least :P

Hmm. That's quite true... Well that's just me. Forgetting to COMPLETELY think things through. I did notice something interesting. Karkat stands alone. I think that maybe the other trolls should be doing SOMETHING while Karkat starts the first attack on the king. Maybe finishing off any dersites left?

I think it's less that they're attacking 1 or 2 at a time as much as that they start spreading out and attacking different parts of the enormous king. Karkat starts the actual charge and Terezi following it up before the rest properly fighting him makes sense. And as they do, they clump into the pairs who are used to fighting together.

As we get into the more finished versions of the later characters, it would be very cool if we can have faint glimpses of the others in the distance and the background. At the very least there's going to be floating, blinking Aradias through out the battle.

Also another suggestion if i may: Perhaps we could get a part where Feferi stabs a tentacle with her trident thing or whatever it's called at this point, and uses that as a springboard to propel herself towards the kings face, ultimately dealing some damage. And maybe we could make a picture similar to this one for her flying towards him? (of course minus the SWIM.)

That sounds like a good idea. Good perspective and maybe give viewers a better sense as the others are still actually there. This could work with Feferi's springboarding, where you see Eridan in the background FZAAAAAAPING a tentacle or something.

I...I can't express how much I love this project...

Unfortuanately I am without any art talent whatsoever. But I guess I could start with a text-storyboard of the Feferi/Eridan sequence and the one after?


3:51-3:53- The Black King screams out from Nepeta's claw-slashes, and reels backwards, covering his face.
3:54-3:58- Feferi and Eridan jump from seperate lilypads onto a larger one in the middle, but Feferi slips and starts to fall from the edge.
3:58-4:00- Eridan grabs her hand and pulls her back up,
4:01-4:03 then she launches herself at the King, with a callback to her original image (http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=004323).
Some of the images from 4:58-4:03 show how Eridan still s her, but Feferi only is good friends with him.
4:03-4:05- Feferi lands and begins running/jumping up the swinging tentacles, kind of like alll that tree-jumping stuff in Naruto (I can't find a video of it but whatever).
4:05-4:08- This image, except it needs to be edited a little to go faster:

4:08-4:10- A first-person view through Eridan's crosshairs. It at first is aimed at Sollux's head off in the distance for just a split second, but then the gun moves its sights towards the Black King, where we can see Feferi slicing numerous tentacles. If possible, a shaky-cam effect could be used here just because it's freaking awesome :P
4:11-4:12- Feferi tosses her trident right into the King's heart for the last measure of their sequence. Just one image of her jumping backwards will the trident is moving towards the screen.

AT 4:13: several of the clouds flash visions of act 5.2 in the background when the trident strikes, with images of Eridan vs. Sollux, Aradia vs. an unknown enemy (Bec Noir), John going God Tier, and etc. You know, just because it's 4:13. :P

Sequence 2

4:12-4:14- Black King screams and raises his scepter, causing tons of meteors to fall and destroy most of the lilypads.
4:15-4:20- Eridan is distracted and misses his shot which barely wizzes past Feferi's head but it hits a cluster of Aradiabots and they explode, taking out one of the Black King's heads. Scribble mode would be really good here, especially this image:

4:20-4:21- The bell rings and several Knights appear, now fitted with wings, the first of which knocks into Gamzee's lilypad and makes him drop his slime pie offscreen (onto another pad, where the picture of the empty slime pie will take place later.) Just one image here I guess?
4:22-4:25- Most of the Knights are swiftly taken care of by Kanaya with just a few chainsaw blasts. The cymbal at 4:25 is a knight explosion.
4:25-4:28- Eridan and Karkat are knocked off their lilypads by the explosion, and Feferi (who just now lands back on the lilypads) grabs Eridan (image)

and Kanaya grabs Karkat (this is all foreshadowing the scenes in [s] Kanaya: Return to the Core, of course). This is in splitscreen, so both animations are happening at the same time.
4:29-4:32- Karkat and Terezi do some epic combo move and destroy several meteors at once while everyone else is hopping around the lilypads and fighting something in the background.
4:32-4:34- The group is finally together, 2 per lilypad: Vriska/Fef, Karkat/Tavros, Equius/Nepeta, Kanaya/Terezi, and Eridan is alone because Gamzee is nowhere to be found at the moment. This is just one really quick picture.
4:34-4:36- All of the meteors that are falling suddenly stop for the drum break, and it cuts to the Sollux/Aradia scequence: http://myfrogbag.com/?view=bllayr/welp.swf

So yeah I think my idea for these two sequences is pretty okay I guess. I think the part with the Knights coming back is really cool but completely unnecessary, so if you don't think it would fit it could easily be replaced with generic tentacles :P

Anyway this was fun to make actually so if any other storyboards need to be made I'd gladly do them.

Edit: Problem: I have no idea how Feferi gets her trident back. I guess she could do it during another scene but the big group shot at 4:32 would have to have everyone with a weapon but her which would be weird.

Needless to say yeah that image will most definitely be re-used for this flash just because it was awesome :P And you're right about Karkat; he is knocked out and doesn't do any damage until the 4:13 - 4:35 sequence (which I also storyboarded in the above quote), where he blows up a meteor with Terezi, and he'll most likely do something in the 5:14 - 5:32 sequence, which is in between Gamzee and Vriska's.

This flash would take place, chronologically-speaking, right after http://www.mspaintadventures.com/scr...p?s=6&p=005261, to act as a flashback after Karkat's final memo. Plus the music is already done :P

The problem with the springboard idea is that Feferi would have no weapon to deal damage with. Though in my storyboard she loses her weapon after throwing it so she's useless for the rest of the battle up unless someone can think up a way for her to get it back before the 5:14 - 5:32 sequence.

Morphosky you are so awesome. Those storyboards are pure win, just saying. We get 55 seconds to have all this junk so scenes can easily take like 5 or 7 seconds each, so those are fine.

Also this convo reminded me. If it's no trouble, would anyone want to animate the Feferi/Eridan storyboard to see how it could work? I have an MSPaint sketch of it but that still doesn't convey... well anything :P

Okay I'm not complaining since I'm not contributing to the art anyway but IMO there is way too much Vriska art. Nepeta and Karkat barely have anything and Feferi really doesn't have anything. With all this Vriska artwork, the storyboard may actually be complete except for the closeups of the hands, feet, reaction images, etc. I think I will check that now actually.

Image I drew a couple of weeks ago for fun, based on the 'Killed By Br8k Spider' tune. May be of use here.

Though It would have to be changed a little for a few other really good Vriska images that we have, and there'd probably be one more right after the reaction images. Vriska at 5:56 would also have to change into her God Tier outfit before actually throwing the dice. And at 6:12 there must be clouds that show visions of the future :P

The pic doesn't work for 5:47; there'd need to be a hand holding the dice that matches the style.

Hi, I'm afraid I'm already doing the two teams, and I'm the third person to attempt this Herculean task. I'm already partway through, and I'm doing fine. The last thing we need is another unfinished introduction shot right now.
You're a good artist and we could probably really use your skills elsewhere, though. Maybe ask Obal what he needs right now, or make 'fighting Dersites' material or ask people working on sections of specific Trolls if they need a hand?

I threw this together a couple of minutes ago, not sure if you already have some of this or not. Sollux is looking a little bit scrawny in comparison to Aradia (if it's too noticable I'll fix it).

make the lower segments thicker than the upper ones if you want perspective, think triangles.

also i will be away for the day. I am literally gone fishing.
