Hello! I was wondering if there was anything I could help with, as this looks like an excellent project and I am very interested in seeing it completed. For example, would you still need the Blue Team group shot?

Look in the previous page for the red and blue teams group shots. There are other scenes in need of artwork, though. I think the wiki is more up-to-date on them - the list of artistic assets in the first post is months out of date, so you shouldn't trust it as a guide. Check the irc chat, too (link to it in the first post).
Oh, okay! Thanks for the tip! I was kind of wondering about making something to complement the one Deferential did earlier, but if that's not needed, that's okay!
It was decided a while ago that the group shots for both teams should be done by the same artist. Roughly 3 people started the group shots, and I think 2 of them at least finished one group, but never the other. My group shots aren't as detailed as the previous artists' - who all attempted to make full-body shots of every character - but we really needed to finish the start of the video.
phalluses in my posterior
ps could somebody whos good with gifs tween this across a moving background that would be cool i guess
I just did another re-listen to the song, this time with headphones to catch more of the nuances. Dudes and dudettes, there is a definite weather thing going on in the song. There are several instances where rain can be heard, and several cracks of thunder. The song tends to get darker in mood as it progresses. These need to be given visual depiction. It has been suggested that the rain sound after Gamzee's theme could be raining blood, but that doesn't account for some of the other rain sounds. I heard, and it was mentioned in IRC, Kanaya's theme has rain sounds at the beginning. This is one of the especially light parts of the song. I know this part already has a fairly well developed animation, but this just hit me like a ton of bricks: Rain + Light = ?
There. MUST. Be. A rainbow. In Kanaya's theme.
Well, I second this suggestion; It's a change to background art, so... given my (very) limited understanding of animation, it shouldn't be too difficult to implement.
It would be awesome if that happens that we see a background shot of Gamzee looking up at the rainbow.

Hrm... there was also the sound of a thunderclap just before Karkat's theme, along with the final one at Vriska's. I'd guess that before Karkat's that'd be the time when the trolls do that victory pose before getting smacked by a tentacle (Probably flashes from skaian clouds? Dark clouds gathering?). And for Vriska's I guess it'd be a good idea if rain actually did fall after the Black King's scepter was destroyed. Since that'd mean the Universe Creation is starting/nearing completion.
EDIT: Effin yes on the Rainbow part, that needs in
Behold, my craptastic photoshoppy and .gif-making skills. (spoilered for scrolling dimensions)The white flash would be the thing where the lightning strikes the very moment Vriska strikes. Um, yeah, this is why I leave the art to you artists. Also, I apparently forgot horns on 8888Yy. And I guess there probably shouldn't be actual lightning still around in that third frame. *shrug* Okay, okay, it would look better if the middle frame had a quick fade on either end instead of a cut. Meh. This is just a quick and dirty, for crying out loud. Stop judging me, me.
Anyway, my thought was to have actual weather go with the weather sounds. In the case of Kanaya, rainbow, duh. In the case of Gamzee, yes, actual rain, not just blood raining down. In the case of the thunderclaps, actual lightning.
Tavros, for the scene I was drawing, still need to finish up the king
SidGarcia, if you see this, I sent you the layers in a PM.
That's great, crys - it will definitely help!
I'll probably have something to show of the Tavros part by the end of next week![]()
Here's another part of the trolls vs dersite thing...
(Was thinking about adding a troll fighting on the lilypad in the background but might be a bit too cluttered then, what do you guys think?)
well, it could definitely use a bit of work, IE the lowering of the gun, but so far it looks pretty awesome.
just remember that there is such a thing as "too smooth" when it comes to animating.
crystallinePerplexity, I think the spot where the blast hits the battleship might look better if it faded from from yellowish to bluish instead of staying yellowish until the end of the blast. The idea there being to indicate that it is getting hotter at the centre of the explosion. Other than that, I am liking very much.
I'm hoping I can pick up CS5 before to long. Hopefully then me, Obal and, well anyone who has and can use flash will work together with organisation & editing...
I agree with your idea of sorting out the sections as different charecters, and taking those segments together.
I'll get on this...
yes, it is! it's slow, but moving.
@mechanicalProfessor: I'm... not sure how to fix that...
@Afrowolf: I'm so sorry :c I totally forgot you were still working on that...
Since nobody actually answered my question, I went ahead and added a troll in the background anyway... If it's a bit too much, it's easy enough to delete that bit...
Nice! I think it's a good idea to add background Trolls, makes it feel more like an all around fight like how it's supposed to be.

@CrystallinePerplexity: I think it looks great! The background troll was definitely a good move.
Feferi in the background made it look funnier. Popped in to say that this is a really cool project, and I would love to help whenever I have time. Is there a Hero-Mode picture for Equius and Nepeta yet?
(^-^)
Here, have a black king:
@ Redux: I think someone was working on the first bit of the Equius/Nepata storyboard (not sure on that though) but the rest of the hero mode poses are unclaimed as far is I know...
