Yeah. Black 2 gets the Challenge Key.
You need to Unova link with someone who has the Assist key to get it. White 2 gets it normally.

ugh.
Kind reminds me of that one MMBN which all of both versions story features and characters were stored in both games, but you could only unlock the "exclusives" of the other game by playing with the other version in multiplayer, which then started to affect the storyline in new game+ mode where the modular design of the arcs allowed them to freely swap out which story appeared next with a random choice of the ones available to you.
It was kind of cool, like having multiple versions of the game, but it probably sucked for anybody who didn't have a friend to play with or an extra version to link to on their own. Pokemon's limiting of certain features to wireless only was detrimental to players who wanted all those awesome toys (like secret bases, the underground, or entralink, the most badass way of presenting multiplayer by ENTERING A PARALLEL DIMENSION) but had only online play to work with, which meant no fun times.
they should have just introduced "shame mode" like nintendo uses now, where losing a certain amount of times triggers the unlock
as for having easy mode after normal, the only use i can think of is being able to go back through all the cutscenes as fast as possible if you wanted to view them again
Guiz the point of the keys is that they aren't really for you.
They're for other people.
Beat White 2? You have the Assist Key now. You can now use Unova link and give the assist key to someone earlier in the game (Re: Just started) and they can play the entire game in Assist mode.
You can do the exact same with the Challenge key so you can play the game from the beginning in Challenge Mode.
EDIT: So I'm definitely ARing my game to have Challenge Mode from the start since I don't have anyone locally to play with. And it'll be like on Day one.
It turns out Gym Leaders and The Elite 4 expand their teams by one pokemon (Cheren has 3 now, the rest have 4, Elite 4 has 5 pokemon), and are actually smarter when it comes to being AI.

ugh.
Oh thank goodness. I always thought it was a little weird how like everybody had way less Pokèmon in BW-- no Gym Leader has more than three, your rivals and the E4 have four... I kinda missed how the numper of Pokèmon per gym leader went up with almost every gym in previous games.

...Wait a second, I was wanting to go into B2/W2 blind, wan't I? Whoops. :V
EDIT:
"Numper"? Wow. That typo looks straight outta SBAHJ. You know, I think I'll keep it there, just 'cause it's funny. :V

ugh.
If it was me, I'd just drop Brine. I don't like having two attacking moves that are the same type and use the same attacking stat, unless there's a significant extra effect that distinguishes them. Brine is just too similar to Surf to justify keeping both, IMO, even though Brine is stronger when the opponent has <50% HP.
Go ahead and tell us about the name.
Good, that's what I ended up doing.
AND I NAMED HIM GROOVE because you know how like the sea turtle from Finding Nemo is named Crush, and the robot from And It Don't Stop is called Crush Groove? Yeah. Groove.
Which would be the end of it, except then I looked and his nature is Relaxed, and his trait is "strongly defiant". So I'm definitely raising a rapping rock turtle.
bcuz u wur probz thinkin of Avalanche
Oh did I mention that Imposter Ditto is capturable in BW2
Imposter by the way is Ditto's DW ability and makes it transform into the opponent immediately instead of having to waste a turn.
IF you give it a choice scarf it's P much 100% guaranteed to outspeed the opponent due to it copying the opponent's stats.
ugh.
I would guess the Pokemon in the same position as it, since the game keeps track of that for other move reasons.

so today I actually saw and caught the first shiny I have seen since I've been playing Pokemon games (1999) It was only a Geodude but I felt I should share this news with you guys
(by sharing I mean telling you people just how horrible my luck is when it comes to things)

the only shiny geodude i encountered was a high enough level to immediately selfdestruct
The shiny Geodude I caught was at level 18

I've caught a couple shinies: a shiny Torkoal and a shiny Snubbull. I transferred them both into Platinum, and then gave it to my brother knowing full well they were on there. He reset the game and it felt good for me to let go of something so irrelevant, even though my instinct is to hoard hoard hoard just in case.

Shiny Geodude: not actually a gold nugget???
No.
5000 pokedollars isn't even that great anyway, I guess gold's pretty common in alternate pokearth
