I once fought a guy with a full team of Ubers.

I solo'd him with a Shedinja. He didn't know how Shed's ability worked and kept throwing out Outrage.

This is usually a sign that they don't know what they're doing.
Even I don't do things like that!

Most of the people with full legendary teams don't know what they're doing. Team structure is still important!

Even teams made specifically to fight in the uber tier will often times pack a non-uber just because they happen to super counter a popular legendary. Primeape>Darkrai and Quagsire>Kyogre come to mind.

Pokemon was just hitting its peek in my town, I got a gameboy colour(yellow) and Pokemon Yellow as my first game EVER for my birthday and I took it to school to show my friends then a few days later the rich kid in our class brought the special Pokemon edition gameboy colour to school I was so jealous

Is anyone else excited about the new hidden hollows is B2 and W2? You can catch wild eevees. Nothing is better than a wild eevee.

I'm not sure you can capture Eevee at a Hidden Hollow. However, you can get at least one with its Hidden Ability! Which means I'll probably end up soft resetting for a female one.

Are they using Uber moveset loadouts, or just throwing moves like Outrage out willynilly? You could probably use their love of bland sweeper against them if you had a specific strategy.

This was back in the day when I did not know the difference between EVs and IVs. By now, I believe most of the offenders have either quit playing Pokemon or have smartened up and started to put together strategies. (If only I could go back in time...)

Check your Yellow-having privilege, Charizard didn't learn Fly in R/B.
Then again, half the time my Fly slave was a Missingno.

In my first Pokèmon game, Emerald, I only used my Swampert. Its moveset was Tackle, Rock Tomb, Earthquake, and Water Gun. Uhhh, at least it had one good move. I think the only reason I kept Tackle and Water Gun was because of some sort of odd nostalgia. Like, "How could I get rid of these moves if they've been with me since the beginning?"

But then I realized how much of an idiot I was being and restarted. That time, Swampert had Surf, Earthquake, Ice Beam, and I thiiink Return? It had a good moveset, sure, but I still hadn't really gotten "good" at the game-- it was still the only thing I used, my only strategy was "hit the opponent really hard until it stops moving", and I didn't even give it a name!

In my next game, LeafGreen, I got a Dugtrio in addition to my Venusaur, but I barely used the thing; I only caught it to counter my rival's Charwhatever. By Vicory Road, I think Venusaur was in the late 50s while Dugtrio wasn't even at 40. In Diamond, I went back to using my starter only-- a Torterra. I quit playing at the battle with Candice, for, uh, obvious reasons. In Platinum, though, I finally used a balanced team of multiple Pokèmon, and I named things for the first time. I think I had a Torterra, a Staraptor, a Rotom, a Rampardos, and, uh, some other thing I can't remember.

...Wow, considering how much I dislike it when people use only one Pokèmon and/or don't nickname them these days, it's a little surprising how I did the exact same thing until so (relatively) recently.
