Fuck you Smith and your fucking nightmare factory.
That's basically our motto now, right?
The stuff on the screen! Anubis and Anput sound like a familiar things- I can't keep Smith's horrorterrors straight, so can anyone tell me if these narcoleptic control things are baddies we've seen/heard of before? And would they be using that creepy-ass sky brain thing as a backup control system?
the slection has too many CODENAMES and MONSTERS

Alright, no point going to the server room until Linesman's robot gets here, so that only really leaves the prototype storage and archives. Was there anything we had to do in the archives room? I lost track of our goals.
Our goals are:
>Blow up archives
>Blow up backup servers (now adjusted to "keep secure until Linesman gets into them, then blow them up")
>Destroy prototypes
>Kill the researcher we just killed
There may still be Anubis drones or base personnel, so maybe we want to see if anyone else is trying to poke around in the backup servers? But we may as well blow up the archives along the way.
Alright then. Yeah, I'll pretty much go with what DF's suggesting: Destroy the archives, then clear out the server room of any hostiles that might be present.
Dear gog. Little heart shaped monstrosities made from fetuses are running around hijacking bodies, and they are being controlled by some freak, narcoleptic psychic hub creature. Soon to be two freak hub creatures. I want to see these things so dead. WHY AREN'T THEY ALL DEAD YET?!
Well, then go for whichever one is on the second floor, and then whichever one is on the third floor. I think servers are second floor and archives are third? But if it's the other way around, then check the archives for hostiles and then blow up the servers.
Because I update at the speed of snail moving on a salt-covered desert.
In all seriousness though, I'll be taking up Dynamic Sketching and Concept Drawing classes within a few days, so don't expect an update anytime soon.
Take all the time you need. I fully support your endeavors (and the promise of even more expertly done updates, hoo hoo hoo). I'll be hanging around for as long as this thread lives.
Protototype storage is the one for which we absolutely need working elevators on the way in. That makes it a priority target, but we might be in a more vulnerable (and harder to leave) position there, so might want to save it for last anyway...
We can't access anything else by stairs either. I believe the stairs on our level were demolished by the blast that got soldiers in here.
Honestly, with all of the backup for the enemy destroyed by orbital bombardment, there is no one left on the facility that could feasibly stop Olpho from destroying what he wants to destroy. Except for what's in the basement.
Given that the only reason to delay prototype destruction before was so we could play the sides (drones versus soldiers) and that is no longer a consideration, we should totally go and blow up the psychic monstrosities now.
Get any good information in the server room, than blow it, Chuck all the explosives into the storage room and hope the archives dosen't get damaged... and leg it.OR is he able to plug out the whole archives and take it somewhere else? If so, do that, AND leg it (don't forget to detnoate ALL the bombs you chucked into anubuis) and brace yourself for any psychic blast.
More info never hurts, but it's not like Olpho doesn't know how to kill the things. And the place that's most likely to have shark suits? Not the server room or the archives, but somewhere close to the Prototype storage. Chainmail, if that's what this is, is heavy, and unconditioned scientists aren't just going to walk all over the complex with it on.
And... Oh. Hm. Wait.
Alright, gentlemen. There is a distinct possibility we are a tiny bit screwed.
Anubis, Anput. Psychic creatures that can, via use of drones, make the dead their personal army.
Outside of this complex? Plentiful dead.
Not like they're all going to be suitable hosts after the explosion, but still. Better get rid of the head sooner rather than later.

If you're talking about the guys killed by the Enderfist shots, chances are they were either vaporized in the blast, or their bodies are too mangled to be a good host to anything that requires skeletal structure.
Didn't we have a plan a while back to place some C4 below the server room and just collapse it that way? The way's clear, and should make some confusion so we can slip into the basement. Another objective was also basically just added; to destroy Anubis we need to take out the telepath controlling the drones...hopefully they're just in the basement. It may be obvious, but well I'll say it anyway the 'lamp thing' from before was the Mobile Decoy Generator...we may need more Seeker drones to ensure troop movement we catch in the future isn't a feint.
Anubis needs a lot of energy to maintain a psychic link with so many organisms. We estimate that he can only control a maximum of 20,000 drones, and at that point he will need to sleep once every 4 hours for twenty minutes. This is why we are working on Project Anput and are planning to create more psychics like him; if Anubis falls asleep, Anput can serve as a backup network and keep the drones co-ordinated.
^From the last report, as an example.
"Project Anubis" might refer to both, but Anubis itself is definitely a psychic hub.
Am I the only one who noticed that "Project Umbrella" was mentioned in the same breath as "an army that doesn't know fatigue"? Yes? Okay, back to lurking.
