Just read through this whole thing. Wow, just... wow. Way to make believable, compelling characters, even if most of the mistakes she makes for the first half had me metaphorically shouting at the screen (not literally) "No don't do that you fool!" I can't wait to see more of this.

edit: Side note, I think the best parts are the places when the word "racism" pops up more than once in the same scene, such as when she was talking to the wizards and they couldn't... stop... making horrible slips. That scene was hilarious, though taken as a whole it's kind of... not sad, but "realistic" or "accurate", as people were calling it near the beginning. And well-written.
