I remember the first one! I think I had it as a kid. Except it was one of those bigger beanie babies, like a foot or so.

Okay, did a little research. Option #3 was a model called Avalon, and for those of you who don't know Beanie Babies, they make another model called Beanie Buddies, which are basically GIANT versions (like a foot tall!) of some models. Luckily, Avalon is one of them!

Now, it's all about pricing. For a regular-sized Avalon, the cheapest eBay goes on sellers (I've researched these before) comes to $4.99 with $3 shipping. For a Beanie Buddy Avalon, the cheapest by far was $9.99 with $5 shipping. Both the ones I found ship from the US and go worldwide.

So here is the small one for sale, and here is the large one. (If it says a user kanisikokoro is watching them, that's me, no worries).

Anyone think this is feasible? The big one would cost a little more, but it should be about 1x1 feet, which should be big enough for everyone to leave a little message or at LEAST their name, provided fabric markers are used.

I think the large Avalon is a wonderful idea! It's not too expensive either, so that's a bonus.

I like the Beanie Buddy Avalon! Shipping on that to the UK is $18.55, and $7.00 on the second one, though. I'd offer to foot hoof the (inconsequential) bill for buying it in-country (though I'd defer to you, Lexa, for finding it!) (both possibilities would change the map) or lightningSeamstress could continue scouring the shops in her area for appropriate plushies.
The nubbly texture on the Avalon Buddy doesn't look like it'd take well to markers, but lS had the idea for also shipping around a notebook to leave names and messages in.

On who to send your address to: Ideally, only two "strangers" will ever see your address - the person who's sending the package to you and the person after you receiving it (return addresses prevent lost horses!). Because the shipping list is still in the works, we'll either post in-thread or send another PM when the time comes to send your address to the person before you.
If you need to cancel or change addresses, let us know two or three people in advance! But I need to hold my horses here because this'll all get reiterated in one nice post when Maplehoof gets in the post.

Also, a notebook seems like it would work the best. We could tie it to her little head ribbon :3

Lexa, that large Avalon is lookin' good, but the thing is, I don't have a paypal or a proper bank account or anything of the sort, so unless somebody doesn't mind us using theirs or making a paypal, we're stuck.
The notebook with I'll be getting is probably gonna be a5 sized, and I can get some ribbon for her mane, too. (what colour ribbon though? - pink would merge into the mane, but if I got a really dark pink... Ah, I'm no good with colour. And I could sew on a little pink felt heart, that'd be fine, hehehe)

I would be all sorts of silly fangirl ecstatic to get you on the actual delivery route, except I'd want one of the forty people to drop out first (and lightningSeamstress's two pence). In the event of a drop, there are three people on the waiting list that'd get messaged about being okay with you subbing in.

Other stuff:
Ten people still haven't responded to the PM, but there's a week and a half left to get around to it.
